We have collected enough coupons for 2 round trips for my account and are now working on my hubby's. They are allowing us to buy water for 25 cents so we figured it was cheaper to buy five everytime we go by Wendy's.

You've got it made if they are selling you the cups for only $.25 and filling it with water. We have to pay the $1.19 plus tax or $1.25. Even at that, $80 for a free flight (plus $10 security fee) isn't bad. But your deal only comes to $16 before the security fee. I think the restaurant you're going to is missing out on this one.

The one extra benefit I got going is that my Discover Card, which I usually only use at Sam's Club, so very infrequent, sent me a letter saying I'd get $1.00 for every transaction up to 20 that I do in the month of December. So, since Wendy's takes Discover, I've been charging the cups as well. That's $20 in my pocket. And if I redeem that for a partner reward, I can double it. I was planning on getting the 10 Blockbuster rentals, which is a $40 reward for $20.

Gotta love being able to play all the angles. :smooth:

I'm back on the ship! Same stateroom # as before.

Same here it must have been a glitch. I called DCL and got my flight info ( I know I shouldn't have booked thru them but I didn't know any better if ONLY I had found these boards BEFORE) We leave DC at 6 am and THEN to Cincinnati THEN to Orlando arriving at 12 something pm. All I have to say is good thing we are going a day ealier or I would be BEAT before I even got on the boat :rotfl: Our return flight isn't much better they still have us going through Cincinnati again but leave orlando at 5:45pm arrive DC at 10 something so thats not to bad. I will book my own airfare next time for sure cuz thats just CRAZY but you live and learn right? LOL

Our room number is back online as well. :guilty:

But there is one thing.............

WE'VE BEEN UPGRADED FROM CAT 9 TO CAT 7. WE NOW HAVE A BALCONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :bounce:

No lie. We went from Deck 2 to Deck 6.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!!!!!!!!

Great for you!!!!!!!!!!!! We were not so lucky. Enjoy your balcony........

Upon checking once again - We have moved from a 9 to I think a 6! Our room # has changed from 2566 to 6630. Going to do more checking!

Everyone check again. When I first checked, my original stateroom was the same. I checked again and it had been changed so maybe everyone on this board with us will be lucky!

You are just 2 cabins away from us (6634).

Congrats to everyone who got an upgrade.

gydell, I'm so jealous. I want a 6. I guess we'll have to suffer with a seven. :rotfl2:

Seriously though, I hope I do o.k. in the back of the boat. That is the only area I really feel the movement. When I'm in AP or PC, and even in Palo, I always feel the swaying.

We are also on the Port side now, so that will be a change for us.

Lastly, the new room has our heads towards the back of the ship. DW likes to sleep with her head forward (she has major motion sickness issues). I guess we'll have the Room Attendant put the pillows on the foot of the bed.

Have you ever heard of someone who go an upgrade and complained so much? :rotfl2:

Jeff

Jeff - What cabin # did you get? How far in the back? We have never been this near the back but I thought the front was the worst for getting sick.

gydell,

6138. The Cat 7's are 5 cabins in a row on each side in the back on Decks 5, 6 and 7 (30 in total). There are only about 5 or 6 rooms aft of the Cat 7 rooms. We are in the middle room of the 5.

We had a SPH, which is in front of the forward elevators, and I did fine up there. Last January, we had 6580, and that was pretty much dead center.

Maybe my sensativity to the motion is due to the no windows in AP and it being night in the other restaurants.

Or maybe it is the vibration from the motors.

Won't know how I'll do until we try it.

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the upgrade. I do not want to go back to Deck 2.

I actually had a client that was upgraded from an 8 to a 5 and made me call to change them back. :confused3 I was so suprised. We would have loved a balcony, but alas it didn't fit in the budget.

Sandy,

Don't get me wrong, we are very happy for the upgrade. I wrote down the prices when we reinstated our cruise, and this upgrade is worth $882. :cool1: The room cost when we booked on board was probably less than when we got our booking reinstated, but not as cheap as we paid for our Cat 9 room in summer.

I would be surprised also if someone didn't want a balcony room.

My concerns are minor and hopefully will be for nothing.

I will probably still look to upgrade to a 5 or 4 at port (those had the most rooms available at the beginning of December). At least now, the up charge will be less.

I didn't think you were unhappy at all. :) I was just sharing the story of someone turning down a 3 category upgrade :confused3 We may try to upgrade at the port too but we aren't getting there until about noon (DH doesn't want to wait in the crowded terminal)so they may be all gone. I'm really happy for everyone that got an upgrade, maybe just a little jealous too
