!!!! Early Roll Call for January 21 2006 Eastern Magic Cruise !!!!

Welcome aboard clewert!! Is anybody else traveling with you? We have a good mix of different ages of kids and many with no kids in tow. I hope you can get your Palo reservations. I know once on board, you can put you name on a list at Palo and they will call you when they have a cancellation. Plus I'm sure if you keep checking some reservation will open up. Craig

It will be me DH DD (9) and DS (7) we are coming in a day early and staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter and also staying there one night after the cruise since we booked air through Disney wanted to make sure it wasn't to stressful and that way maybe will have time to go to Downtown Disney to shop :cool1:

We have DS (6) maybe they will get to know each other. We are also staying at Disney for 2 days before the cruise at Pop Century. My son is so excited he talks about the kids clubs every day. Good luck with your Palo reservations. pirate:

Cool Sandy my DS turns 7 on the 1st of Dec. and he is looking forward to the cruise also when we went on Carnival he LOVED the kids program which to me was lacking so I am sure he is going to LOVE the Disney kids program a WHOLE lot better and I won't see him much those 7 days :rotfl:

Hi Clewert. My DS turns 7 Dec 27th. We are saving the big cruise surprise for a Christmas gift (gotta stretch this seeing how much it costs!!) and we will probably give him and DD5 a countdown jar of m&ms. Yeah, they will need some extra sugar to get more excited...ha ha

looking for advice.......I have booked two family snorkle trips but only want to go on one. I can't decide -
Option #1 - St. Maarten on our own all day (Great bay Beach and some shopping) then Doubloon Sail & Snorkle in St. Thomas.
Option #2 - St. Marteen GBB in the morning and Golden Eagle snorkle at 1pm, then do Sapphire Beach on our own at St. Thomas. We have Palo ressies the night of St. Thomas at 6:30.

Doubloon sounds more fun for the kids (pirate theme), but I kinda like the way the schedule works out by doing the Golden Eagle excursion in St. Maarten.

Thanks!

I vote for option #1. That is what I would have done but my kids were not old enough. I read a lot about Doubloon on these boards and it sounds great!
We are doing GBB in St. Marteen and atlantas sub excursion in St. Thomas
Good Luck

I booked the Anguilla Dolphin Encounter in St. Marteen, The Atlantis Sub and the island tour for St. Thomas and then the glass bottom boat on Castaway key anyone done any of these before if so are they good? We bought a countdown clock from countdownclocks That way we can use it for all occasions its pretty cool DS is counting down to his birhtday now then we will countdown to Christmas then the Cruise ::MickeyMo

I never in a million years thought I would say this.

OUR CRUISE IS PAID OFF!!!!!!!!!

:thewave: :jumping2: :rockband: :dancer: :hyper: :jumping1:

Can you tell I am excited?????? Now I can start saving my beer money!! :drinking1

I heard from our travel agent that our cruise has the max number of children allowed and that only adults can book any remaining staterooms for our cruise. Has anyone else ever heard that there is a limit to the number of children on board?

Let the Party begin!!!!

This does happen because they want to be sure they have the space for all the children in the kid's clubs.

I am also a TA and just went it to double check our cruise and you can still book children. Catg 9-4 are available. I personally have never seen this happen. I am not saying that it has never happened I am just saying I have never been told no more children on a cruise. They might run out of cabins for triple/quad before you would ever see them deny children.

Ok we are Military and booked the 7 night cruise with a pre and post night hotel stay at WDW and we booked air thru DCL also. DH grandmother is not doing well and he will have to take leave for the funeral but the problem is he may not have enough leave to do the pre and post nights now SO my question is can we take those off without penalties? I know I can call DCL and ask but am just trying to get ahead of the game now and see before I call them for the hundreth time since booking the cruise ;) Thanks for any help!!

Our countdown clock says 60 days!!! :cool1:  :rotfl: We have it set to the day we leave (Friday, January 20th).

It even sounds better to talk about the number of weeks, as we are now in single digits for that type of countdown. 9 weeks from today we will be on board.

PiperG, mine says the same thing too!!!! Well, okay, take one day away from my countdown cuz we are coming down Friday. I am getting giddy with excitement and anticipation and I am findng myself at the puter at every Magic bon voyage to see it leave. I need help!!!

My kids are more excited about this cruise than they are Christmas!

Are we planning a meet on board?

And hi to all the fellow Virginians!

Lisa

With 60 days to go :cool1: we have to start thinking of a place and time once we get onboard to have our DIS meet. :grouphug:

Great to see a fellow North Carolinian excited to begin the cruise. My DS(7) and DD(11) are too funny to listen to, they are planning on eating all the ice cream on Deck 9.

LOL My DS(6) plans on single-handedly taking over the kids clubs. We really can't wait. I am actually anxiously anticipating the spa....

WOW 9 weeks, We (myself, DH, DS6, DD3) are also very excited!! I woke up at 5am today, thinking about it and the anxiety kept me awake :rolleyes1 The time is flying by, especially now with Thankgiving here already!!
Quick question... does anyone know if they put our flights on the DCL web site with the rest of our ressies?? We booked everything through DCL and our TA, she said they don't book flights until 30 days before the cruise. Anyone with some more insight? Thanks, Cyndie :wave2:
