We have plans for our next trip in early October, 1st-9th. The dates are solid as it's also our fall break. I know October crowds have grown in recent years, just curious to who else will be attending this time of year and where else in the country has fall break then.

I remember those days. We go back late July, but we do get a total of 6 plus weeks off during the school year. However, due to snow we go till June 10th this year and back on July 30th.

That's the week Im looking at for 2016. (My birthday is 10/2 and I want to spend it at DHS )

Up in the north we don't generally get a fall break because the kids don't go back to school until after Labor Day.

We'll be there the 1st-11th. My kids go to year round school so they will be on break, but there is no Fall Break here for the traditional calendar schools.

We will be there Sept 29-6th then to US 6-10th.

Last couple of years the crowds have been between 4-6, with weekend F&W at EPCOT at 9. I think the crowds are great and we just avoid WS on Fri and Sat nights.

We'll be there the 4-11. We went around this same time last year and it wasn't too bad, but it was more crowded then I remember it being several years ago. Or maybe it just felt that way after going in early December the two years prior. I'm excited though, MNSSHP is my favorite!

What the heck is fall break? Ive lived in California most of my life and never heard of a fall break. There is summer break, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Easter/Spring break and that's it.

Sounds almost just like us, DisneyFive! We normally go mid-November, but are going 09/30-10/04 this year because of the free dining bounceback . . . and we wanted to get in on Food & Wine! It will be our first time staying at POR . . . any suggestions for room/building requests?

I'm in Northeast Indiana, but we don't have Fall Break. Or at least my kid's school doesn't, they attend private school. Regardless, we'll be at Disney a tad later than you OP, Oct 17-22.

Hi Neighbor, we are from Charlestown and are heading down the 1st as well. Leaving a couple days early in hopes they do a free dining again. Not counting on it, especially since we are POFQ, but one can always hope.

We are on a balanced calendar. We start in late July or early August, have 2 weeks off in October, for Christmas, and in Spring. School ends in early June. It has it's pros and cons for sure, like I love getting to come to Disney in October but here in Indiana June can sometimes be pretty mild so by the time it starts feeling like Summer, we go back to school.
