Early November Availabilty?

We recently returned from our first October visit and fell in love with Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. We also enjoyed our first visit to MNSSHP at the Magic Kingdom. We want to plan to attend the beginning of November in 2011 to try to see both the F & W as well as Mickey's xmas party which we have not experienced yet. We'll be happy to stay at our home resort of SSR but I must admit it was very convenient staying at BLT this past trip. Is there any hope of getting a 1BR for early November at either BLT, BC or BW?

Certainly, there is a chance. Less so if trying to get hard to get rooms (BWV standard or boardwalk view, BLT MK or standard view). Key is to call exactly 7 months out because if you wait a few days beyond that, everything that might have been available at 7 months out has high chance of being gone.

Thanks for giving me hope! Again, the convenience of the location of BC, BW and BLT for the F & W and MK can't be beat. As soon as we are finished with paying for college in 4 years, we are adding on at one of these resorts. (Unless, of course, we win the lottery in the meantime -guess we should start playing!)

We're arriving @ BWV on Sunday Nov 7 - our 'home' is OKW and we had no trouble getting our reservation.......no standard view - but that's OK, just happy to be at Boardwalk for the F&W.

You'll have lots of competition for the EPCOT resorts at 7 months - more for early November than for October, if your planned stay coincides with Jersey Week.

There are lots of NJ DVC members and since their children have off Thursday & Friday during the early November teachers' Convention, many of them pull the kids out of school for the entire week and visit WDW.

For 2011, the NJ Teachers' Convention is November 10 & 11, so expect the NJ families to start arriving on 11/4 or 11/5.

Teacher's convention in NJ is Nov 4th and 5th this year, we like to visit the week before Thanksgiving to avoid the crowds.

The simple answer is yes, there is a chance. We generally visit during early November (as a matter of fact, we SHOULD be there now, but life has intervened) and reserve a 1BR. I have never called at the 11 month mark (more like the 5 or 6 month mark) and have always been able to get a room. Several years all that was available was BW.

However, YMMV. From all the horror stories I read here, I think we may just be lucky.
