Our cruise plans changed to a WDW stay next month. As a result, we arrive at mco on a Friday, stay at the Hyatt for 1 night (it is what worked out best), then head to the BC for 7 nights. We plan to use ME for the first time, and just got our documents. I noticed that they have us listed as arriving on Saturday, on the first SWA flight of the day. (They got the airline right) I think our TA must have recorded it this way, so that they know to expect us on ME on Saturday. If I recall threads here correctly, this isn't an issue, right? Now the fact that they don't have any info about our return flight...that I need to take care of.

Also: we'll get up bright and early, have our breakfast (included in the hotel deal I got), and head to ME. We expect to be at the ME location around 07:15. How busy do they tend to be at that time? Do the buses wait long to fill up, or do they turn them around quickly, so that they can get back to those coming from WDW to MCO?

Our thanks!

Not an issue.

That early, checking in shouldn't be too bad. An interesting little perk of staying at the Hyatt? Bell Services will transport your tagged luggage to where the rest of the Magical Express luggage goes so it can be delivered to your resort just as if you were flying directly from home! Just arrange it the night before :teeth:

They're not going to hold buses until they fill; there's a time limit between when the first Guest boards and when the bus heads out to its assigned resorts.

Yes, when you check in for DME, give them your return information.

Technically, you are starting your WDW stay on Sat...so the DME documents are correct. Just head over there on Sat morning, when you're ready to go.
The thing with very early DME buses is that they aren't going to be hugely busy. And while there are some who feel that using DME when it's very busy is a bad thing, I disagree....DME is fully staffed, with many buses running when it's busy.
It's those times when there aren't a lot of guests arriving that DME can be slower than you might like. There is no way of telling how long you will wait for the bus to leave...I would doubt they would wait long enough for it to be a full bus..not at that time of day anyway.

The buses that take you from MCO to WDW resorts aren't really picking up at the same time. Completely different issue...so you can't depend on the buses leaving MCO quickly so as to get to the resorts quickly and pick up other guests who need to depart from WDW.

I always plan on an average time of 70 mins...from gate to resort..no matter what time I am traveling.

Thanks to you both! I didn't know that about bell services. We'll think about trying that. In the recent past, we've used a car service, but are actually looking forward to trying ME, since so many seem to have good experiences. Plus, it frees up $120-130 for eating. Perhaps we'll get to see the outside of resorts we've never seen. Of course, that being said, we'll probably go straight to the BC, which wouldn't be so bad, either.
