Early Morning Magic and BOG

It will be interesting to see what the practice for handling the PPO BOG will be. I think best case scenario will be that they use the FP line for the EMM people and let the BOG people enter the SB line and let them on the ride at 9 so they still get a jump on the RD people as they will be first in the SB line. But that might make too much sense for Disney, we will see.

Ooph...you just inspired a cringe from me as I imagined an underpaid, overworked CM getting yelled at by parents...poor guys :-( Makes me for sure want to say double thank you every time I interact with them!

Sadly it happens all the time and it's getting worse. The things DS and I saw last trip made me cringe, from the bullying, the yelling, the foul language and even physical (but that was guest on guest but poor CM was unnerved). DD no longer works at WDW and #1 reason, guests behavior. CM friend has shared some stories and I say "why don't you just call security" and she said there isn't enough to respond to it all. :sad2:

Sad. Very sad. This situation is an invitation for a blowup. PLEASE yes, thank them, and if standing around by them talk to them, if they have colleges on them ask them what they are studying. I always get some great convos going.

Everything about this has been advertised as limited availability. I don't foresee swarms of people based on the marketing.
Yes, but limited to what number, we will never know. I can't see them limiting it to, say, 100 people - wouldn't make financial sense for Disney to go through all this trouble for $6,000 of additional revenue. I previously guessed maybe up to 750 people so that there's some actual revenue generation. Even if there's half that number and they all go to 7DMT, and they somehow were to let those people access the FP line after 9 am (as in mom2rtk's example) while the "regular" guests go into the SB line, 300 people having access to the FP line would definitely feel like a "swarm" to me.

Maybe it was the way I was raised, but my sister and I both always say thank you any time we leave a restaurant, store, bus, really any place where we are offered a service, whether we take it up or not. Always. Even if I don't buy anything. We thank the CM who welcomes us into the line, we thank the CM who loads us, we thank the CM who unloads us. It takes no time and is nice.

Now I sound like I'm tooting my own horn here, but I remember last time was in the parks a few years ago, my travel partner and I were in the MK late. A custodial CM from Haiti, a bit on the older side, was slowly making his way down the path down by the Plaza Restaurant. I noticed he had some pins on his lanyard. Even though I didn't see one I wanted, I just felt it would be wrong to simply walk by. I traded with him and we had a short conversation. He smiled broadly after we finished. Again, totally sounds self aggrandizing, but the point here is less 'woo, Sevey13 is such a good guy' and more about how simple acts make a big difference.

So do you suppose that early rides on 7DMT will still be a "thing" on non-Waffle Days? Or do you think that this would cause so much confusion that they will stop offering that perk?

Guest shouting at CM on a Waffle Day: "But I was here last Thursday and they let me on the ride at 8:30!"
CM to Guest: "I realize that sir. But today we are having a Magical Waffle Hour and you can't ride early."

I suppose they could draw this distinction, but it seems as if it might be more trouble than its worth. Might be easier to eliminate early riding unless one pays for the privilege. Or perhaps allow guests with PPO BoG ADRs to ride something other than 7DMT, such as Small World. I guess we'll soon find out.

I would propose for consistency to let the early birds on non-waffle day get in the Standby ahead of rope droppers (still a perk) and then wait for the official opening. You are correct that there will be "confrontations" without a standard.
