Suzy Mouse and I have decided to commit to each other to get up early and exercise first thing before the day begins! I told her i'd start a thread and see if anyone else needs the accountability that we do and wants to join in??

I'm commiting to 2 early mornings this week -- tues and thursday

i'll be done by 7 a.m. when i take DD to school

Here I am!:cool1:

I think the best way for me to do this is to check in here when I get up. :surfweb: Then come back when I'm done. So I will be back here tomorrow morning at 6:00. (Oh God help me!)

(Thanks for the push ohmom!!!)

It's not exactly 6:00..close enough. Now I'm off to do the elliptical for 45 minutes.

Hey Molli,
I've been getting up and exercising. I got up today and yesterday.

I leave for Vegas tomorrow, so I won't be able to there. I'll join you all next week when I get back. Great idea.

I can at least check in for today and say I did 2.38 miles this morning.

melanie -- did you just GO to vegas! i have vegas-envy! have a GREAT time! bet one on a Hard Six for me :teeth:

GREAT JOB girls on our workouts today!!!:woohoo: :thumbsup2 :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

i set my alarm for 6 a.m. and did my Denise Austin Shrink Your Female Fat Zones DVD -- it's just shy of 40 mins but it's a good workout.

Suzy -- if memory serves me correctly it will get easier! i really thought about NOT getting up and just going back to sleep, but then i thought of you working out

and then i thought of my DD rolling out of bed to hit the shower, and figured i could get up too!

thursday will be an earlier morning as i have to get a 60 min powerwalk in and be back by 7 a.m. :scared: :scared:

but it's GREAT to have the morning to get started on my to-do list!

Please count me in. I go back to school next week so I am practicing getting up early. Last summer I was up and exercising every morning. THis spring and summer I have been fighting a nasty sinus infection that flared up again last month. I am back on antibiotics but I want to help it along so I am hoping to get back to exercising. Morning is the best time for me even though it means getting up at 4:30 (I leave my house at 6:15 to be at my desk at 6:45 so I can do some paperwork before kids come in for extra help at 7 AM. Many come since I teach Advanced Placement Calculus)

This morning was the first morning in 6 weeks that got up to do something. I was going to do yoga but I was not ready for it. I swam for about 20 minutes and then I had a letter to mail so I rode my bike for another 20 minutes.

Now that school is back in I will be able to go back to my AM walking. My kids (both in HS) start at 7:30, I drop them off 7:10-7:15am. I then go to work, park my car (in the shade, since I am so early) and then go for a 30 min walk (1.8 mi walk). So if that counts I am in.

disneychrista...of course it counts! Glad you can join us!

I like to see that more people are here. It gives me such inspiration and helps make my commitment stronger! Maybe I can actually become a morning person!

I was up at 6:30 today and then did a few things. I'll be heading downstairs to do the elliptical and then some lunges. I hurt my leg the other day and haven't ben able to do them let. Hopefully today is the day.

Tomorrow i'll be getting up a little later and then Friday I officially start getting up at 5:15. I'm finally able to get into my classroom to set it up. So i need to get in early. School starts on Tuesday and they're giving us 1 day to set up. YIKES!:scared1: (this is all due to unfinished construction)

Have a great morning! and an even better day!

Hey I am in! Today I am starting WW again and decided to make exercising a priority and really focus on that. So I did get up early today.... 7:45 :lmao:

HEY, it is summer and I have been getting up 8:00....8:15....8:30.....:rotfl2:

I actually was up at 7:30 and read the success stories of WW magazine and then got up, first to come on WISH and then I am going to go exercise.

This week I am commiting to exercise in the morning, first thing, but I may not be up before 7:00. ;)

Next week when school starts I will commit to waking up early to exercise 2 days a week and hit the gym after I drop off DD at school the other 2 days.

However that might change if I get a new job... then I will have to get up early each day.....:scared1:

Thanks for this challenge!

great we are growing!!

ok, i was up at 5:45 a.m. today!! eek!! i would NOT have been motivated 'cept for this group!! i had to work at noon today so i really wanted to have the time this morning to get a few things done. i got all dressed and headed out the door to find it drizzling! it was too dark out to tell if it was going to pass or what. so i just turned around and came in and did my 5 mile WATP with Leslie! and i'm tired........i'm off to bed!!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

next week -- two mornings again for me -- not sure which days with the holiday

Good morning everyone! Glad to see this is inspiring more people to get up early, exercise and get things done!! :cheer2: Thank you so much for helping me!!! It's much easier with you.

Yesterday I didn't get up early but did the elliptical for 30 minutes. I'm up and ready to go. I'm going to work on my arms and abs. Then I'm off to set up my classroom... :sad1:

Have a great morning and an even better day!:yay:

I'd love to join. I need some kind of motivation to get up earlier than I already do (6:15am).
So.... I plan on joining our local chapter of USAFit to train to walk the half marathon in February. I know, I'm crazy!
So starting Tuesday I will be getting up at.....5:15!:scared1:
I'll walk this weekend as well, but just won't be getting up early.:rolleyes1

Hope this keeps us all motivated!

Hey everyone. Well the biggest loser challenge starts tomorrow! GAME ON... and I need to get up and get moving! I am going to commit to waking up early 2 days this week, and the other 2 days I will commit to working out at the gym after the kids are off to school.

melanie -- did you just GO to vegas! i have vegas-envy! have a GREAT time! bet one on a Hard Six for me :teeth:

Hey Molli-
Yep, the kids and I went over the 4th of July. This is my yearly Labor Day trip. Its nice to spend time with my mom - just the two of us! I come home tomorrow. Its hard to believe it's over already.

Wednesday morning I plan on getting up and walking at 5:45am. Who else??

Up at 5:15 to do some leg work. I'll be up again tomorrow hopefully to do the elliptical.

I was up walking and watching the news at 5 AM

Back to school today.

Good morning everyone! I'd love to join you all! I was exercising regularly early when school was out for the summer but now that it's back I need to get things going again. I can't commit to a certain amount of time but I can try to squeeze in at least 20 minutes on the elliptical, which is what I did this morning. I usually wake up between 4:45 - 5:00 and then between getting myself up and my dd, we try to be out the door by no later than 6:15. Some mornings I can swing more than the 20 but others I'm afriad I may only be able to do 10 or so. I would really like to try to do this every day if at all possible, Mondays - Fridays.

there is great mojo here :teeth:

i set my alarm for 5:45 this morning and woke up at 6:30!! i had set it for PM instead of AM.....i hate it when i do that!!

so darn it i'm on my way out the door now, got the BL 3 posted so off i go......and i have to leave for work at 11 a.m., i would've really liked to have been done!! ok -- tomorrow morning early with Melanie

Great thread!!! I got up this morning at 6:30am and went for about a 6km run! :thumbsup2 It's so painful getting up and exercising right away, but boy, you feel sooooo proud of yourself when you're finished! My goal is to run again on Thursday and Saturday and do resistance training tomorrow and Friday. I don't usually get up early on my resistance training days, but I'd like to tomorrow. I love having my whole day to get things done without trying to talk myself into exercising. Thanks for the motivation!!!!
