Early Morning Exerciser group -- COMMIT here

I can see this is going to be difficult. However knowing that you're here and that I've committed myself to you certainly helps! I'm also glad that so many others are finding motivation here as well!!!

I got up at 5:00..but out of bed at 5:30 (gotta work on that!) But I did finally get on the elliptical for 25 minutes.

What a great thread!

Getting up early to exercise has been a thorn in my side for as long as I can remember. My bed just feels so much more comfortable than the treadmill! I finally decided that enough is enough and have gotten up early to work out for the past two mornings. Nothing to write home about, but it's a major step for me. I think I shocked DH, too, because he was actually startled to see me this morning. :rolleyes: Now I've got something to prove! :teeth:
 
short post tonight....you see i'm tired.........i got up at 5:50 to do my Denise DVD this morning :yay:

GREAT JOB everyone! it's so inspiring to know that you all are in this with me! it helps me get up! i will say that i didn't feel like this morning my body was really good and going until 3/4 the way through the workout, but i guess we have days like that no matter what time the workout is. i know i do!

tomorrow is a regular walking day after DDs go to school -- friday will be my 2nd commited morning to rise and shine before the sun
 
Good morning everyone!

Just finished 20 of pilates. Something different. On our dvr we have "On demand" that has many different types of workouts. So I gave that a whirl today. How many of you have this option? Maybe you have it and don't know it!

suzy -- who was the fitness person leading the pilates? i do believe i have that :teeth: i know i have FitTV, i need to utilize this!

my alarm went off at 6 a.m. and i was struggling.....i rolled out of bed when i heard DD get up b/c if she's up it pushed me that i could be up too. I did 30 mins pilates myself today. i have done pilates in quite a while and i can tell i've lost some of my flexibility! looking forward to sleeping in a little tomorrow!! if only to 7 a.m.
 
Well I managed 15 minutes on the elliptical this morning. Not the best, but not the worst either!
 
ohmom...sorry but I can't recall the lady on the pilates video. there are a bunch of different ones.

I did get up and out of bed at 5:30 this morning. 30 minutes on the elliptical!!
 
can i join you guys?

i'm a teacher (my first year- yay!) and luckily my school doesn't start until 9:15! so that gives me time in the morning to get some exercise in, i think!

i figure...i have to be at school at 8:30- so i probably need about an hour to get ready...so if i get up at 6:15, work out from 6:30-7 or 7:15, that could be great! by the time i get home from school, usually after 5pm...i am exhausted and just wanting to relax! i think that's why i haven't been doing much exercise lately.

the morning must be the key! so, tomorrow, i will be up at 6:15 to join all of you! my boyfriend (who lives across the hall) leaves to go to his school (which starts at 7 :lmao: ) at 6:15, so i'll get him to come and wake me up!



i'm happy i found this thread....sorry that post was so long! see you all in the morning! :thumbsup2
 
I'm going to kill my sister! She was over this weekend and I asked her to do lunges with me. SHe gave me such a killer workout that I can barely walk and this is 2 days later! SO I didn't get up this morning because my body is begging me for a break this morning! (I still did get up early though!)
 
I did a 30 minute walk this morning. Any body else up this morning
 
Morning ladies!

Hubby and I got up this morning and did a 6km run. It's so hard getting up out of bed, but boy, you sure feel great AFTERWARDS!!!! ;)
 
Good morning everyone!

I might have tortured my legs a bit but I hit the elliptical for a half an hour this morning. Hopefully i won't regret it later!

Anyone else coming here this morning?

ok i'm here to say my 2 mornings will be Wed/Fri this week. i'm hoping to bump up to 3 mornings soon...i'm getting into longer walks which make it harder to do them first thing. i do better when i eat an hour before on those
 
You all are doing a great job with your commitments!

I struggle every morning with getting out of bed, but at the one week mark it's actually feeling like a habit. I SO wanted to stay in bed and snuggle with DS4 this morning, but that little voice inside my head wouldn't let me.

Keep up the good work everyone! :cheer2:
 
Hey everyone,
I got up this morning and walked 2.5. I did get up yesterday, but the girl I walk with didn't show up. I went back to bed. It was so dark and I didn't feel comfortable by myself.

I also got up 9/5, 9/6, 9/7 & 9/11. I've been feeling really tired since I've been back from Vegas. I"m going to need to get to bed sooner. My problem is I can't seem to fall asleep. Hopefully that gets fixed soon. I did sleep better last night.

I'm trying to maintain my Mon/Wed/Fri early morning runs. I ran outside on Monday but on the treadmill this morning. It was just so dark outside, I couldn't bear going outside. Still, the treadmill is better than nothing! On my off days, I do a weight/ab routine at about 9am. I guess I can't really call that "early"! LOL

Keep up the great work! You've all inspired me. When I don't want to get up in the mornings, I think of all of you and I get my lazy self up!
 
I have walked Mon, Tues and Wed of this week before I really started my day. This is the most consistent exercise I have done since July and I hope to get into my yoga in the morning and walking in the afternoon soon. I couldn't do it this week because of meetings at night. If I have a meeting to go to I don't want to walk and get all sweaty and then have to shower and change clothes. And it was really hot and humid here Mon and Tues

Just like tonight I want to serve macaroni and meatballs but I always make a mess of myself and I don't want to have to change my clothes before I go to my meetings.:rotfl: :rotfl:
 
again i am thankful for this group :yay: it's soo hard to get out of my warm bed on cool crisp mornings like today, but i got 40 mins of pilates in before taking DD to school at 7 a.m.!

I am brand new to the WISH boards and would like to commit to early morning exercise with all of you on this thread. I have LOADS of weight to lose and I know that exercise coupled with a good eating plan is the only way that will happen. I am planning to do 45 minutes of exercise early every morning for the rest of this week (Tuesday through Friday) by coming in on the early bus and working out in the gym here at work before I have to be at my desk.
