We were at WDW 8/22 to 8/24 and got to participate in two magical beginnings events. First we saw DoodleBops at MGM. This was arrival day, so the tickets were gone when we got there. But we waited in line (for an hour) and got in to see them - dd was thrilled. The CM's told us the three earlier shows had let in about 100 people. There were only about 10 people ahead of us in line, but as ds had just fallen asleep, we decided to go ahead and wait the hour.
Wed. 8/23, we went early to MK for early magic hour, and I would highly recommend it (not sure how much longer it goes on)! Snow White was out playing games with the kids (ring around rosy, head and shoulders, if you're happy and you know it), my dd and ds loved it!! They played for about 15-20 minutes, then we rode Dumbo and then they played another 10-15 minutes until 9am. Dopey and Chip also joined in. SW was doing photos, but no autographs (which was nice IMHO b/c no one crowded around).
There were also characters riding the rides, Stich was on Dumbo and Chip was on the Carousel. We saw Alice in Wonderland walking in the distance, not sure if she was riding the tea cups.
There was usually only around 10 kids or so around Snow White and there was minimal lines for the rides. And for those worried about the lines at 9am, don't be, that day at least it was extremely quiet at 9am, and actually very quiet the whole morning in Fantasyland.
