It isn't until later in the summer that problems can pop up, am I correct/
Thansk!

We book all our trips at the end of June for that reason. We have never had a problem except it's hot, LOL.

Most Caribbean storms do increase later in August.

You're still going to have some rain, but that helps keep the temps down. There is a possibility of a hurricane, but not as much as later on in the season.

THe water will be nice and warm, and it definately by very warm outside (and the humidity is starting to rise)

We left for our first cruise on May 31 2003 so we were there in early june. The weather couldn't have been better. Nice and warm like a cruise should be and we only had a 5-10 minute rain shower when we first got to CC. We didnt mind though, we knew we were going to get wet anyway. :D

It depends on what cruise you take. We did the 7 night cruise this past June 7th. It poured the night we left so the party had to be moved inside. Key West was unbearably hot and I'm used to the humidity as I live in Naples, Florida. The weather was great in Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but we did have high seas leaving Cozumel. There were some earlier storms this past season in Cozumel that left that area with heavy rains and some swells. All in all, the weather should be fine as long as you don't mind the occasional storms that occur during the summer months.

cjsmith, we got off the ship from the eastern the day you got on the ship. It looks like we had pretty different weather though. We thought ours was great.

Oh, don't get me wrong, we did have nice weather! There were just some storms that had settled into the Gulf alittle earlier this season, so that's why we had some different weather. Key West usually has a nice breeze, but didn't the day we were there, it was unbearable. I wouldn't hesitate to book another cruise in June, I'm thinking of doing it actually. You just can't count on the weather to be perfect.

There is some risk whenever you go. When we went last June (mid) we had wonderful weather and some storms. Most of the storms (I'm talking rain with thunder & lightning) were in the evening.

The sailaway from Port Canaveral started out inside and moved outside as we went down the channel (they can really move equipment in a hurry!)

DS's teen catamaran in Cozumel was cancelled due to weather.

And I think there was one other night that we had some rain. Overall there were no complaints though.

We were on Western.
