Early June Crowds ?

We're considering visiting June 6 through June 13 or holding off untill July.
Is there a significant difference in the crowds between those 2 periods ? The official schedule would lead me to believe parks are less crowded before June 13th, based on park hours and spectromagic/fantasmic times.

We went in August last time and had a very trying time dealing with the crowd level . . . . .

I know that Gay Days is there until the 6th or 7th, so that may increase crowds a little, although they said on the website that the main crowd impact of that is Saturday, the 5th at the Magic Kingdom. We are going the 5th- 12th of June so also are very interested in the response to this question as well. Normally we go in the mid- end of May, but we had to move it a little later this year.

Wife and I were there in June of 2001 and are heading back for a land/sea that same week next month. As I recall, crowds weren't that bad. We fastpassed a lot of things and were able to get quite a bit done.
One memorable moment back in 2001 was on Sunday night (our first night there) we wandered over to the Energy ride and got right in. When the movie started, we noticed we were the only ones in there. Weren't sure what to do so we stayed put. They then opened the doors and ran the entire ride (this thing seats 300-400 people at least I'm guessing) just for us. Talk about a memory!

We travel early June most every year, usually the first or second week. As each day comes you usually see more people come in. It seems MK is always crowded, but the other parks aren't too bad. We never get in a hurry, and use FP everywhere we can. The weather varies. We have been in 98 degree temp, and then the next year the high 92. Enjoy yourself!
