I have to applaud Beauty, Miss Jasmine and Blondie among others. Unlike some others, EROS NEVER denigrated anyone personally. EROS is a man of convictions. If his mores and values differ from yours so be it. This is America after all. On more than one occasion EROS has made me think and I have changed my view after reading several of his thoughts.

He will be sorely missed by those thinking, analytical people. As for the rest, continue to be happy in your own little insular worlds.

I didn't let Eros get to me, just didn't read his posts at times. We can agree to disagree that is what our country is about. I do think deep down he is a good person, as is everyone on the DIS. I'm not a controversy starter but I respect the fact he let his feelings known, whether popular or not. I do think a lot of his posts belonged over on debate. Bye Eros, I'll be thinking of you when the Yankees cream the Red Sox, hope you can come back at some point.

i didn't always agree with EROS, but i still enjoyed reading his threads...it's always interesting to see where people sit with their views and beliefs and how they defend them...

I think everyone who has posted on this thread would be honest in saying that Eros invoked some sort of emotion in them, otherwise, they'd probably not have opened it, let alone have posted to it.

If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but somehow I don't think I am.

I will also miss EROS and have already shared that with the moderators & webmasters. I happened to agree with about 90% of what EROS said, but also cringed over how he said it . I'm not sure if it'll be easier or harder to be an atheist here on the DIS ... I guess I'll find out. Thanks buddy for putting up the God ... I mean GOOD ... fight .

Just before Christmas I was in a store and found the Santa's Little Helper's lingerie that Eros had posted on here a couple of days earlier. I admit it - I stopped in my tracks and proceeded to throw back my head and howl with laughter. I embarrassed my teenager son to no end. And yes, I did walk over and inspect the outfit in question and pondered for a second or two on whether I should buy it or not (much to my son's chagrin!).

BTW, I DIDN'T purchase it.

I'll miss Eros also, I found him very entertaining. It reminded me of conversations we had in college. You didn't always agree but it always provoked thought.

BTW is anybody else wondering how fun it would be if Eros is really lurking as Bill Clinton. Just a sick thought that I had.
