This April is our first visit to IOA and WWHP. We are staying onsite and want to take advantage of Early Entry. I saw the park now opens the week after Easter at 8AM.

I am assuming this means early entry is at 7am? Do you have to get to the gates earlier than 7am? How awful is it if you get to the gates at 7:30?:scared:

My family is great with my touring plans but that is early and I am not sure how I will get them out of PBH fed and at the gate!!!

yes, when the parks open at 8 am, early entry for hotel guests will be 7 am.

the week after Easter is still a busy time in the parks and hotels.

if you want to avoid long lines at parry hotter, then try your best to be at the entrance gate before 7 am. if you are there around 6:45, you should be fine.

if some of your family members want to sleep in and join you later, that could be a plan you could make happen.

if that is not a possibility, try to do parry hotter in the last hours before park closing. could be less crowds then.

I will let my family know - whomever would like to ride FJ should be ready to leave the hotel by 6:45AM. Otherwise they are welcome to wait in line while I go back to the pool after finishing my TP! LOL

I have that same problem with my family. Thank goodness for that Keurig in the hotel room, I can get DH his coffee, hot chocolate for the kids, tea for myself. I've bought those hot cup with lids so he can take his coffee with him to take to the parks, and in RPH the lounge area was opened with muffins I bought and took up to the room as the family was getting ready. If they don't eat them then they tend to eat them while at the entrance while we're in line waiting to open up. Or, it's a granola bar now with the intention of "real" breakfast around 9-10AM after a few rides in the park.

It's hard but to get that kind of "head start" its worth it, and after they see the crowds around 9AM, I'm sure they'll agree with you.

Yeah, he is kind of hot now that he's older, isn't he?

Thank you for the great idea - granola bars while they wait and real breakfast after we are done with WWHP - which should be 9ish. Don't know if the PBH lounge area would be open, don't think they open until 7. I talked to the kids about it at dinner tonight and they all agreed that it is more important to wake up and stick to the plan. DD9 said 'Yeah I'll just take a nap at the pool in the afternoon' That is my girl! :goodvibes
