So resort guests get 30 minutes early entry starting 10/1....

What's your plan? Do you have a plan? Are you even going to use it?

We plan to utilize it once for each park this trip. The other days we won't unless we find it to be amazing or something. :D

MK - I think we will try and knock a couple smaller rides off the list or jump in line for Mine Train. I'm just not sure! We are attending Boo Bash so not as concerned about lines for the rides.

AK - FoP is not a priority for us and Safari isn't open for early entry? So I guess Everest it is!

DHS - this is a hard one for me. My priority at this park is ToT, Runaway Railway and Slinky Dog.
Which would make the most sense to do for early entry? Which ride gets and KEEPS the longest wait throughout the day?

Epcot - um, Test Track? Then scoot over to Soarin?

Also, if we have Genie +, we may be able to reserve later times for some of these rides...

so many questions!

What are your plans?

I honestly keep kinda forgetting about it haha. My trip has two days (one AK and one MK) before it starts, then I have one day at each park after.
My second MK day is 10/1, so no clue what I'll try to do there, maybe go for some of the classics.
HS I will probably try for SDD.
Epcot, probably TT.
And AK I'm not sure. I'll probably go for FoP since I like to use the single rider line for EE.

We are going to utilize it for HS on our trip in November. My teens are huge Rock n Rollercoaster fans so their plan is to head there first, and then we'll probably hit up TOT right after depending on the wait. We're not normally rope drop folks but we're going to try :-)

I'm kind of hoping most people do forget about it! 😂😂😂

For me its like I know its there, but I think having my trip have some days without it is throwing me off. I have my plans all laid out, which have it on there, so I'm not fully forgetting haha.

Do you know if Shades of Green is considered a resort guest hotel for early entry? It's usually considered "On Property" for everything else.

Can someone remind me how this works? I know its linked to the hotel reservation... but don't they allow other people IN the park early and that's the concept of rope drop... you wait at an area of the park until they drop the rope? If i'm in the park with everyone else, can i get past rope drop? Sorry, its been 2 years since I went and i don't think we fully utilized the early hours previously (under a different name/version).

Going in mid October so I am looking forward to reading some trip reports on how people used EE and Genie+. We will definitely use Genie+ and we will pay for ROTR too.

I'm tying to remember. I think at DLR you're supposed to scan into the turnstyles with your ticket and it recognizes you as being 'onsite' but honestly it's been a while. LOL

Just means that the park opening is 30 minutes earlier. I won't really change much when it comes to my plan except it will be starting earlier.

With EMH anybody could get in the front area of the park. You then needed to scan your band or ticket again to get into the different areas where the rides are.

My plan was to bang out two headliners during that time (the ones not included in the $15 G+ app) and then just go with the flow of the day according to availability of rides. However, I've now started looking into Deluxe resorts, so I may go for the early access, then take a realllllly long midday break, and then head back for the evening and enjoy the extended evening theme park hours.

Thinking of doing the same since we’re at a deluxe

Im actually wondering how they are controlling this? With it only being 30 minutes prior to opening you know non resort people will be lined up outside 30 min before it opens just like normal openings or even before the early entry!!! So will there be signs that have you go in one way? Do we have to squeeze by people and look like jerks for cutting haha ...

We are rope droppers so we adjusted our scheduled to reflect this addition to the "Golden Hour" at rope drop. It only makes AK days slightly more difficult (7:30am vs 8a) as the other parks open late enough that the 30 minutes is really not a big deal. We will be there Oct 3-10 so any advantage to get ahead of the crowds will be utilized. We typically slow down in the afternoon, hit a lounge to cool off or back to the resort for the pool. The early morning is no big deal after we get over the 3hr time change from AZ...ugh...
Of course, who knows how Genie + and the LL add ons will change things...

I'm trying to figure out our plan for December. I've planned more trips than I care to admit however this year has been a nightmare!!! A lot of the posts are about Disney outpricing people however my biggest complaint is Disney making it so difficult to plan. I must be getting old as this is getting very confusing.

I’m thankful I’m not going right at 10/1 so I can hear everyone else’s feedback after they experience it 😂

MK - maybe 7DMT, more likely BTMRR and Splash.
EPCOT - Soarin and TT
HS - MMRR, then ToT and RnRC
AK - FoP or Everest (several times). then over to Safari.
