I am a little confused about the new Extra Magic Hour. When we were in Disney (April 2004), they had the Early Entry days for Disney resort guests. We are planning a trip for 12/2-12/11 and I have noticed that they now call it the Extra Magic Hour. Could someone please explain it for me? With EE, it was the same each week which park was open early. We always stayed at a Disney resort for the EE priviledges, but is it still worth it with the Extra Magic Hour? It seems like there will only be 2 days that a park will be open early on our trip.

Thanks for any help!! :earsgirl:

The EMH in the morning is the same as the Early Entry previously but they do change around the days a bit each month.

They don't release the month's schedule about 2 months in advance (and of course, it is always subject to change) Although some nights seem static, they do move around each month, probably depending on their anticipated crowds and special events.

Currently, it appears that they have the following

August:
Early EMH:
MK: Wednesdays
Epcot: Sundays
MGM: Tuesdays
Animal Kingdom: Saturdays

Evening EMH:
MK: Mon & Fri first 2 weeks, Wed last 2 weeks
Epcot: Mon & Thurs except Aug 29th
MGM: Sundays
Animal Kingdom: Tuesdays

September:

Early EMH:
MK: Fridays
Epcot: Mondays
MGM: Tuesdays
AK: Saturdays

Evening EMH:
MK: Wednesdays
Epcot: Thursdays
MGM: Sundays
AK: Tuesdays

The evenings don't appear to have changed....Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In August they added a few more nights because of crowds.

The mornings have changed around month to month on Epcot and Disney, but stayed the same for MGM and AK.

If you are planning meals, etc around it, the best thing you can do is an educated guess.

Hi was wondering if anyone remembers what the timetable was for last jan.
Please I would like to be able to kind of plan what day is early and late parks.
I can't wait till oct. I am a controlling vacation planner ha ha :hourglass :grouphug:

The short answer: I would go to the MK EMH day if they have it and avoid any other.
