Just had an Email from Universal about early entry to US and IOA (at 8am) thru 3rd September.

Does anyone know if this applies to PAP holdaers only or can my husband also get early entry with a power pass - or is for everyone?

my opinion is if it's an AP, he should be able to get in. (even tho there are 3 different TYPES of ap's, it's still an AP)...but, that's my opinion

Thanks Bubba's Mum - that's what I thought too. I guess I just wanted to check. Anyone know for sure? Phamton?

Hi Joh
I also think it will be all AP's.
I got the email and told DW about it, she said "oh no does that mean you will have me up even earlier?" :lmao:

Joh, with your Power Pass does it allow you to log into the Universal website?
I have been trying with our AP's and having all sorts of problems. Last 2 days I can't even get to AP site it redirects me to Universal.co.uk. I have emailed them but they are so slow at responding.
I guess they have added something to the site so UK users don't access Universal.com but thats not fair for us with AP's.

All Annual Passholders have the benefit of the early entry, not just Preferred AP holders.

Thanks Bev, so how does it work? At 8am you go to turnstile and they'll let us in w/ our APs? What if there are peeps there w/o APs...won't they try to get in? I'm sure the TM would let them since they will probably open the gates at 8:30 anyway?? I just don't want to get there at 8am and not be able to get in :rolleyes1

I got this in an email: If you show up at 8A and you have an AP they will let you in. :)

Now - September 3
Annual Passholders can enter the parks at 8:00 am Monday - Friday to experience the following attractions:

• Universal Studios - Shrek 4-D™ and Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast™
• Islands of Adventure - The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man® and The Incredible Hulk Coaster®

I have an AP but the kiddies dont...do they have to stay outside until it opens for the regular peeps? lol in other words...will they let the whole party in if there is one AP?

i want to ride front seat on Hulk and go thru "regular" line on MIB to see the worm guys...never seen them. So, if i'm already in the park at 8, i have a head start.

here's another question.....what if you arrive at 8:15? do you have to be there AT 8 or is it anytime starting at 8? (sorry for all the questions  )

Only AP holders are guaranteed entry. If you don't have an AP don't expect to be let in. Just show up at the trunstiles and show your AP. I can't say if they would let your kids in too but they might make an exception. Just don't be disappointed if they can't let them in.

Are you logging into http://www.universalorlando.com ?
Click on this link and let me know what happens:

Hi Phantom
If I click on your link it takes me to here http://www.universalorlando.co.uk/
I have tried going into regional settings and changing location to US, cleared cookies, history, temp Internet files. Still redirects me to co.uk. How on earth does it know I am in UK? my IP address I guess is the only way they know. I understand they want to give different offers to UK users but Disney gives us a choice which site to enter why not Universal?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Wayne

Well you could go to one of those sites that allow you to anonymously surf--- that way your IP won't be from the UK. That would be a quick fix but seems like alot of work. My other suggestion would be to email guestservices@universalorlando.com and let them know of your problems with the website.

Wayne, yes I am having exactly the smae problem. It means I can't log in to the passholder site and also means I am unable to check blackout dates on the Power Pass (if anyone could post them, that would be really helpful :thumbsup2 )

I emailed Universal to tell them on Thursday, I got a response from GS saying they had forwarded my email to AP dept.
Personally think it needs to go their IT dept but I will see what their next response is.
Never tried to do the anonymous surfing, will Google for info if Universal an't solve the problem.
Thanks for your help.

I also emailed the AP department. Anyway, here' a free anonymous surfing site: http://www.the-cloak.com/login.html Just type in the url you want to go to and it should get you there.

http://www.the-cloak.com/login.html You don't need a sign in name unless you are paying for the service.

Tried that but it blocked me for some reason. No worries I found another let me access AP site no problems. Thank you again. http://www.guardster.com/subscription/proxy_free.php

It probably blocked you because I had to agree to the privacy statement on the main page before I got to the log-in page. I forgot about that.

I'm glad you found one that would work for you. It's too bad that you have to jump through hoops to get to the AP site. Hopefully, something can or will be done soon to fix the problem.
