We are staying at the Beach Club Sept 3-10 and I have a few questions about bus service on the EE mornings.

1. If a park is opening one hour early, what times do the buses start running?

2. If we were to take a taxi from our hotel, do the parking lots allow taxis to drop you off without paying the parking fee? and are the lots open to allow the taxi through early?

3. How are the crowds on the buses during the week after September?

Thanks for all of your input.

Unfortunately, I can only answer question #1 for you. We stayed at BCV from 6/29- 7/5. We did EE at AK, MGM and MK. All transportation to EE parks start running at 7:00 (or at least they are supposed to!). Just remember that transportation from BC shares with BCV, YC, BW, Swan and Dolphin. Busses (and boats if you are going to MGM) become filled quickly on EE mornings. If they are all full, you will have to wait for another bus (or boat). That can eat into your EE times. My advice is to be one of the first in line at the bus stop to make sure you are able to catch the first bus that comes.

Our AK bus came around 7:15. No problem. The MGM boat did not come until 7:40. And everyone at the boat stop did not get to get on because they had the other stops to make. The bus to MK did not come until about 7:50. And I'm sure some people at the bus stop did not get to MK until close to 9:00. Pretty frustrating when you get up early and plan to be at the park early.

I would definately walk to Epcot. It takes about 10 minutes from the BC.

Plan accordingly and enjoy!

For question #2:

I've dropped people off at each resort lots of times, and never had to pay for parking. Most castmembers will probably figure out that you're not parking the cab, but it probably would be good to have the driver mention he's dropping you off.

For question #3:

The bus system will be crowded around park opening and closing, with much smaller crowds at other times of the day. Disney Transportation adjusts the number of buses running to match guest demand (so they don't have a bunch of half-empty buses running all the time, thus driving up fuel costs), thereby guaranteeing most vehicles will be near capacity during peak park times. Nothing wrong with that.

Have a great time in the parks!

Graywife,

Last year we were at YC in Sept and it was not crowed at all, of course since the crowds are much smaller the buses run less often.

When we were at the BCV a few weeks ago, the crowds for the early entry mornings were large. The day we wanted to go to MK we were at the bus stop at 7:30, which was a mistake because there were at least 2 bus loads of people there. Since my DH (little patience) did not want to wait we decided to take a taxi, the Taxi only took us to the transportation center so we then had to ride the monorail to MK. We ended up getting there around the same time as the bus people. If you want to do EE for MK, which is always the most crowed, I would be at the bus by 7:00 or 7:15 at the latest.

As for Epcot and MGM we always walked, the only time we rode the boat to MGM was during the day never in the morning or evening. At BC the Boat will only take 30 people from that stop.

Depending on where your room is at Beach Club and you don't mind an early morning stroll, you might want to walk over to the Swan bus stop. There is a sidewalk that goes from the BC to the Dolphin and then you just go across the covered crosswalk to the Swan. The Swan is the first bus stop on the route.

Enjoy the BC. It's great being so close to Epcot, MGM and Boardwalk.
