I'm staying offsite in August and can't get my head round the extra magic hours (it was Character Caravan last time we were there!) so a couple of questions

1. Are the days set in stone or do they vary from month to month?

2. Even though we can't ride on late nights as we're staying offsite can we hang aroung and soak up the atmoshere and maybe have a meal?

Hi Libby!

I think they are starting to settle down a bit now, but with the introduction of the evening things they were varying a bit. I can find a recent thread to give you an idea of a pattern if that would help?

As to you second bit, you get a wristband to say you can go on the rides if you are onsite so I would have thought you would be fine shopping / dining? But this is only my best guess and what I have read :) :)

Hello,

Would be interested to confirm if non Disney resort guests can stay for dining & shopping as this is something I would like to do, Presumably most non Disney guests would have left unaware they can stay making the restaurants and shops less crowded.

Something I've been wondering too but afraid to ask (You know how *some* of the on-siters can get about their added benefits being used by off-siters!)

Paul.

This onsiter doesn't mind :)

Like I say, you get a wristband to show you are onsite for the rides. I'm quite happy to share the shops ;)

I must stress though I don't know if this is the case or not, i's just what I've read / think.

We were there last year whilst they were testing out the extra evening hours for the first time, and from memory there were relatively few options for dining after the 'normal' closing time - certainly I don't recall any of the sit-down restaurants remaining open for long. Also quite a few of the shops seemed to close quite quickly. Maybe someone who has been more recently can confirm that this is still the case?

Thanks for your replies, I've been looking at the Disney website and it doesn't seem as cut and dried as it used to be. Hopefully the park hours for August will be posted earlier than they were in 2002 and I'll work things out from there.

You can have the restaurants and shops whilst we are on the rides...I don't mind ;) :teeth:
