Early-Early Roll call.... 4-28-07 Eastern

Oh Boo. It looks like everyone is getting their room assignments and ours are still the same, so it looks like we weren't upgraded! Sigh. Probably too much to wish for to try and get two rooms upgraded, but can always hope for some pixie dust.

:( Is there any hope left?

I favour the green ribbons/bracelets as you can see them no matter which direction someone is facing whereas name tags you can only see them if you are facing them. Plus, if your eyes are bad (like mine), its hard to see. There might also be other folks wearing nametags.

I haven't finished my shopping at all! EEEEEEK.

Hi guys! Congrats on you guys getting your room numbers! I'll make sure to update everyone when I get a chance!

About the nametags, just want to mention again that I was suggesting them for the meetup only (and they will be the sticker kind so you won't be able to wear them again). That way, we can put a name with a DIS name and face and make the connection! When the music is playing and we are all so excited, it's hard to catch all of the names!

Woohooo! Deck 7 in the houuuuuuse! I'm hoping to find some neon green lei's at Party City. I'm sure we'll all eventually find each other if we wear some form of lime green. Or maybe not. I guess it would be embarassing if you walked around to strangers.... "DIS? You in the DIS? No DIS? Okay sorry. What about you? DIS? No? Okay sorry....."

We finally found this thread.

All 7 of us are traveling together. myself (33), the DH (35), DD (4.5), DS (2 on 5/14), my sister, and my parents. We are in 7505 and 7507. We are at the Wilderness Lodge Vilas Thursday and Friday before (eating at Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast is now a tradition since our last cruise). I can't wait..... I am such a Disney Freak (my poor DH).

Has there been a date/time to meet set up yet????

Hi,

We are also staying at the Wilderness lodge on Thursday and Friday and have a 4 year old DD (Natalie). This is our first cruise so we are getting really excited.

Pooey,
pirate: I can't check the site to see if we have our stateroomnumber yet. Says the site is too busy. I'll check later.

How about taking green paint and painting DIS across our foreheads?!?!?:lmao: :lmao:

I try a little every few nights, but i still havent gotten through all 31 pages of this string, so I apologize if there is a later list that we're already on, but here goes.

Me (46) Laurie
DSIL (39)
DNiece (5)
DNiece (3 turning 4 on-board!!!)

This trip was a Christmas present for my mom, but she has injured her back, so my Sister-in-law graciously stepped in. I was able to trade our Category 6 for (2) category 9's - good deal!! We'll be on deck 2.

I'm still trying to catch up with who's who.

Does anyone else have their 5-year old princess signed up for a snorkeling activity? I want to give it a try with her, she's a great swimmer. But just not sure she'll be willing to leap off a boat into the ocean. I'm thinking if there are other children her age on teh same boat trip she might be more willing.

Bad reviews on CC snorkeling from shore, so I dont want to holdout for that.

Thoughts?

We are stateroom number 7544 where ever exactly that is. Gotta find that passporter book I have lying around somewhere.

I have a 5 year old DD and we are on deck 2 as well!

We loved snorkeling at CC and only plan to do it there - we want her to be able to try it but dont want to commit to an excursion - what have you heard about it CC -

Also - I think I will have to be out on any specific meets - I will try to make it up there but this trip is complements of my in-laws and I will have to do what they want!! But if I see any of you - I will be sure to say hi!!!!

We are in 8006. Right in the front of the ship. We could keep a good eye on the Captain.
This is scary but I checked the weather forecast for Easter Weekend and we are slated for Fri. -5C (23F) and Sat. -1C (30F) with snow :scared1:
Boy oh boy I cannot wait to get on that boat!!
We have not received any doc's yet either.

Wow! We are a big group. We are now over a hundred people. I have never been good with names. Especially so many new faces all at once.
I will make nametags for anyone who chooses to wear them.

I am going to put my name bold, my username above it and to the left, my hometown and state just below it. For my family, I am going to do the same thing except put my username in quotations and italics.
I will buy green leis for my family to wear.

Please send your info by the 15th to nametags4cruise@earthlink.net.

Here are our real names for the updated list room list. Terri, Jeremy (DH), and Sterling (DS).
See ya' real soon!

My TA called DCL and they said they send out the docs 10-14 days out! Wow that's late. I guess I keep waiting.

I'm in the Orlando area and we are in the mid 80's here. My solar is being put in for my new pool today--we will be swimming by the weekend! I grew up in Boston and I don't miss that weather.

That's a bummer about CC snorkeling. We are just going to snorkel there.(my kids will be happy just seeing anything) We have too many to keep track of in the open ocean! :scared1: I don't think my 5 yr olds are ready for any "real" snorkeling. My DH and I love to snorkel but, not so much on this trip. This one's for the kids.

My 5 yr old daughter won't be snorkeling. She is not quite there yet in coordination for holding the nose and breathing out a plastic stick. I cannot find my passporter book. I had to order a new one at Borlders. I guess it's okay since the one I lost is 2 yrs old and I am getting the 07 edition. We've been thinking of cruising ever since and now are just doing it!

We leave 8 days before the cruise so I hope we have our docs by then!

Our family will wear green ribbons around their wrist. If you make the nametags for people, how will we get them from you?

I m thinking I will do the green ribbons to, that just sounds easier and cheaper!

Hello All....

I have a question about formal night. My DH and myself were discussing what should we wear for formal night. What is everyone else wearing?? Tux?? Suit?? I would love to know.
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

On our last two (non Disney) cruises, my husband wore a neutral suit jacket that went with black or brown pants, a nice shirt and tie and dress shoes. He didn't like it and felt choked all night during dinner! I only saw two people in tuxes. I think Disney is a pinch more laid back and will allow simple suits into the formal night dinner. I would assume semi-formal night would be a nice collared shirt and slacks. I would still like to go out and get a formal dress "just cause". I've seen knee-lenghth flowy dresses as well as black floor length dresses as well. Hope this helps :thumbsup2

P.S. Adult-sized snorkel sets in various colors are $9.99 at CVS pharamacy right now. They come in pink, blue, grey and some other colors. Just thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who wants to bring their own and not rent the $25 set on Castaway.
