Early-Early Roll call.... 4-28-07 Eastern

Can you believe that a lot of us are leaving in 2 months from today or tomorrow and many of us less than 2 months!!

WOO HOO! :yay: :cheer2: :dance3:

Time to up the ante on my diet! I have to lose the extra 10 pounds I'm going to gain on the cruise...in addition to the X number of pounds I am trying to lose anyway!

Hey, anyone else doing the Doubloon on St Thomas?
What is everyone doing in St. Martin? We are still undecided.

i say you lose those extra ten once you get home!!!

I have a couple or maybe more ;) to drop too!!!

i have the port confused
but in one we are going to coral world - the ocean aquarium and the beach that is next to it
in the other one we are going to shop - my little one is really too little for most of the excursions -I thought about the sub tour but decided against it

I didn't book any excursions. I was making myself crazy thinking about it and decided **this is my 1st cruise, I'm going to take it minute by minute and just enjoy** My girls are little chickens so they'd be afraid of any type of fishy thing. If while at CC we dcide to get the boats or something then fine...shopping and beaches or maybe even hang out on the boat at port...who know's. We'll end up doing spur of the moment and I'm sure enjoy it. IFFFFFF, I went on a vaca w/ Erik only, i'd do the parasailing, snorkling and dolphin swim.....but w/ the girls, they are not going to go for any of the above lol.
Question.....is the PJ party on the same night as the pirates party?? I hope not because that'll be (for lack of a bad word) stinky. I'm excited and ohhhhh soooo nervous. Last night, on the travel channel they had the disney wonder on as one of the best family cruises and showed a peek. I know I jump from one thing to another in my topics lol.

I agree with you all. Thursday is March 1st. Time to get back on the bike! That will give us two months to shed some winter weight. And just in time to play in the sun!

When I first checked the boards everyone said that snorkling in St. Johns is the best. Cannot be missed.

We have not booked anything yet.

My DD (Katie)(9) wanted to know if there were any other girls her age in our group?

Anyone upgraded yet? I keep checking every few days, but no luck so far. I noticed that there were Cat. 12 cabins available last week which is a good sign.

Let us know if you have the luck!

Upgrades?

We haven't even been assigned a room yet. I think that we will be in baggage or in the maintenance room. Patiently waiting to be given a room number.

I got the "holy crap we're in the middle of the ocean with no help nearby" jitters too. No worries! Technology is fascinating these days and there's always help nearby. Plus, if your lucky, you sail only a mile away from the S.S. Booze N' Gamble (Carnival). Only 58 more days!!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have to share this with my mother. They are vets of the S S Booze N' Gamble(psst....they are southern Baptists, too) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

They will think the nickname is hillarious, and adequate! Thanks, I needed that laugh this morning!

The creator of the nickname "S.S. Booze N' Gamble" was from Sleepydog in his trip report (on the Trip Reports page). There's also another funny Carnival ship name out there from Father Force's trip report where he calls it a petty drinking barge, or something like that. Both made me laugh too due to the stories I've heard about the cruise line. I'm sure it's a great line, but the amount of wild tales that come from it make me shake my head!

You are all toooooo funny! I sailed Carnival several years ago without children and I would have to agree with the name! That's hilairious!:rotfl2:

Once you get on the ship, it's so amazing that all your fears of no land being around you will completely disappear! Just thinking about the ship and entering it is making me do jumping jacks!

BTW, I haven't done anything yet for this trip, made anything, bought any clothes for any of us, but I booked Palo and the exotic rasul!! Whoo hoo! What more could I want?!?! Well, I guess I should get some clothes, for your sakes!

Had a tough night at the ER because my 4 year old stuck a crayon up her nose and broke the tip off way up. I sat there with the 4 year old and the 18 month old for a few hours just to remove a darn piece of crayon. :headache: 2 cranky kids at the ER until 10pm hit my last nerve! Sure glad I logged on to read something that made me smile!!

Holy moly! What a night! At least you can count your lucky stars that you were in there for a (slightly) funny reason and not something serious! I bet it made you want to get away to your vacation even quicker :goodvibes

I haven't bought any "cruise clothes" yet either, but at least now is a good time to start since all the fun spring break stuff is out. They have really inexpensive tank tops and shirts at Kohls. I can't wait to get in tropical-mode!:cloud9:

I have to tell you something else that made me laugh (of course, after we were put into a room). There were about 10 people that were before us at the ER. The two kids were driving me crazy to the point that I just gave up. The 18 month old was crying, wanting up & down, roaming around....to the point where I jsut let her be as loud as she wanted....Well, they called us in shortly after that! The 10people setting there just looked at us because we got called in before them. I don't know if it was because my kids were bad or because they were afraid that she would suck the crayon piece up into her head!:rotfl:

My husband had no idea what was going on & I tried calling him to leave a message and I got in trouble by the staff because there's no cell phones allowed due to the cardiac unit being upstairs.

Ohhhhhh.....I want to sail away! :cool1: But on the other hand, I'm not ready!!:scared1: Got so much to do in so little time! Door signs, tshirts etc. Honestly, we didn't get shirts done last year and we were fine! It just all seems so overwhelming at first!

After having 2 kids, I need a new wardrobe! I'm not back to prepregnancy weight so unfortunatly, I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and just go!! Of course, thinking about vacation all along!!:yay:

What is the *exotic rasul* that you booked?? I like the word exotic sounds like erotic lol....sexy time when the kids are in the club lol

Linda

Linda......hmmm......your mind is on the right track..haha!!!:lmao:

Exotic rasul is a self-service treatment for you and your husband. It is like 50 minutes to an hour (I have to look it up). You have a steam room and sauna thing to yourself. There are all kinds of products that are for you to use on each other (some people report using them while others don't). We did and oh my goodness, my skin never felt so good! In between those rub downs by each other, you can visit the very steamy and HOT when you want to (it's HOT)...okay, so you're wondering what's so great about this, right?

Well, "erotic" rasul (used to be called surial bath) can become what you want it to be;) ;) You can choose to relax and enjoy or add a little steam of your own!!;)

Go to castawayclub.com and click on the link that says "PG report on the adult surial bath" and it even includes pictures (although the pictures are from before the spa was redone in drydock). This isn't my report but it's a great report!

We had a couples massage (which we didn't enjoy much) but we enjoyed our $83 time together! We enjoyed it because it's something we can't do here on land like we can a massage!:woohoo:

If you put the products on and the "mud paint" be careful if you go out in the sun (some people have reported being sensitive to the sun because of the oils in the skin). I am very fair skinned and didn't have any problems.

Hmmm.....if it sounds like something you might like and you think your husband might like, talk it over with him or maybe make it a surprise!!

I have booked the Rasul for my dh and myself on the cruise. I opted out of other massage plans. I can go here and get that anytime. I plan to have a good manicure and pedicure before leaving, so won't need to spend time on cruise doing that.

My sweet hubbie doesn't know I have this planned:stitch2:
