Early Disembarkation - Barcelona

Our flight from Barcelona to London (British Airways) leaves at 11:00. I know Disney's website recommends not taking flights that leave before 12:00, but this was pretty much the only flight we could take.

I contacted Disney to ask about early disembarkation and spoke to a not-very-smart agent. She told me there was no early disembarkation and the only thing we could do to assure getting out early is to stand up and wait and be the first person by the door. She also told me we'd be arriving in port at 8 a.m. (the website says 7:00 a.m.).

I'm not that worried about the timing, but my mother is a little concerned. Does anybody know if Disney has any considerations for those who need to be off the ship early? Thank you!

Basically the ship must clear customs before they can let anyone off the ship. They do not have discretion to let anyone off beforehand. I've heard of people with flights booked through DCL being assigned 10:30am flights, but in those cases DCL would be able to take care of flight changes if they missed the plane. Since you are already booked I wouldn't worry overmuch, though. Odds are decent that you'll make it to the airport in time.

I let DCL handle my flight booking and they have us on a 10am flight on debarkation day from Barcelona. The flight times they have us on made me really nervous, so I called to ask about it because of what the recommendations on their website are. She told me that they can book people on those flights because they are "keeping track of them." She said that they have those guidelines on their website because they can't "monitor" independently booked flights.

The first time I called, I got a DCL reservation sales agent on the phone and she was really surprised at the flights they had booked us on, so she transferred me to people who handle DCL flights. When I told the DCL flight person that the resevation agent was surprised we were on those flights she said, "That's not for her to say. We handle it and know what we're doing."

I'm not sure if they give priority to people with early flights, but if DCL is booking people earlier than that, I think you'll be fine. The whole thing still makes me a little nervous, though.
