We are going in early december 7-11, 2005. We have 2 rooms at PO-FQ and are very excited. I would like to know about what kind of crowds we can expect. We went 1.5 years ago in January and did not have many crowds until Saturday of MLK Weekend. :cool1: We were just wondering about the crowds in early december. :wave2: I want to prepare myself.

Thanks in advance.

We went about this time frame last December. From everything I read on the boards, I was really expecting it to be very quiet. I don't know if it was because of the earlier hurricanes causing many to reschedule or what, but I found it to be a little more crowded than I anticipated. Pop Warner was there at the same time, so that might have caused an increase also. In your case, you'll probably see very light crowds during the week and then a steady increase as the weekend approaches. I know that MGM was packed on Saturday night for the viewing of the Osborne Lights and the MK was less crowded during the day on Sunday as opposed to MVMCP later that night.

With the cooler temperatures and those beautiful decorations, it's a great time of year to go.

That is Pop Warner week for 2005.

I don't know what that means for crowd levels. :confused3

We booked the week before to avoid it.

From the comments I've seen from others, most of the Pop Warner kids are reasonably polite.

Might make the AS and POP resorts a little noisier. Don't know how much it affects the moderates.

With Pop Warner going it can be more crowded. The kids aren't that bad there's just a lot of them. Actually the parents can be a lot worse than the kids. We stayed at the POR during Pop Warner this past year and they were there too, so it's not just the AS and Pop Century.

It's definitely a good time of year to go to WDW though, the weather is very mild, the crowds are down, and all the Christmas decorations are up. :)

It was a great time to visit! We stayed at POP on a Friday 12/10 till the following Wednesday. I thought there was no one there, having normally visited in summer/spring. It was however chilly. Ariel is not cute in a picture with my DD in a winter coat and hat IMO. MVMCP was not too crowded, nor was the Saturday night at MK. MGM, EPCOT and AK were all empty. I was shocked at how easy it is to meet characters that time of year... my daughter had Mickey Mouse all to herself for 15 minutes at AK Camp Minnie- Mickey. A must for your Trip: The Candlelight Processional!!!!! :flower: :flower: :flower: :flower: :flower:

We go right after Thanksgiving almost every year. Well for the last 3 trips anyway and it is has been increasing in crowds steadily every year. I am thinking pretty soon it won't be a very quiet time anymore but you never know.

We have been 3 times around that time of year and its my favorite. The crowds are low--even during Mousefest it wasnt bad. My youngest sons and I went on POTC one night during MVMCP and were the ONLY people in there. The boats in front of us and behind us were all empty, actually it was a little creepy being the only ones in there.

I know that it is football, but what is going on at Disney? Is it a tournament or something? I picked this time of year so we could see all the decorations. We are thrilled and since we currently are on the 2 year program we won't be back until April of 2007 we need to get a good fix of Disney. Thank you for writing and warning me of the possible problems. :flower:

The Pop Warner players and cheerleaders go down for I guess their Superbowl. I really have only come across them once and that was on our plane ride down last Dec--it was the cheerleaders. They werent to bad on the plane--seems like the noisiest ones sat by us. We stayed at the CR and didnt see any there and I didnt run across any at the parks that I could tell.

Beware the Cheerleaders... They took over the POFQ report that same week in 2004.
