Early December Date Advice Please

Hello all,

(Not sure in which forum to post this so please move if appropriate.) My wife will be attending a conference in Orlando December 8 - 10 (Monday - Wednesday). My then 16-month old son and I will be tagging along. We would like to stay three days either before or after the conference to play at WDW. I remember reading about the Pop Warner Leagues being in town in early December but cannot find any refernce to it now.

Any thoughts on which dates will be better in terms of crowds: December 5 - 7 (Friday - Sunday) or December 11 - 13 (Thursday - Saturday)? And do I understand that the Pop Warner folks stay in particular resorts? (No offense intended to Pop Warner--we just prefer lighter crowds and quieter hallways with a baby who is happiest going to sleep by 8:00 PM.)

We're there December 5 - 11 and even 6 weeks ago couldn't get an extra room! This is a very busy time! I think you'd be better off staying after the conference. It must be somewhat less busy, because there is a free dining week right around there. Pop Warner stays mostly at the All Star resorts, I'm told.
