So I am the schmuck who has park reservations for both those days. My first inclination is to change one or both days reservations. After all, Disneyland Park will be flooded with guests from 6pm, and so will DCA as people exit Disneyland and head there.

But then I think, well what if everyone else thinks the same thing and they all dive to Mon/Wed? Maybe Tues/Thurs will be a tad quieter in Disneyland and we can make G+ selections for DCA for later....am I overthinking this?

Anyone with some experience of being there on one of these days/nights? Can you shed some light?

Thanks!

Those are the Throwback parties. I have gone to the parks on days when they've had special parties and found the parks to be pretty empty so even with an early closure we got a lot done and it was nice not to have big crowds.

Thanks for this. We have our first to DLR coming up and scheduled to hit DL those days. I was getting pretty worried. With a 6 year old, and coming from EST time zone, I can’t imagine the early closure impacting our plans anyway (I think it’s 8pm?)

Thanks for this! I tried to get a BB res for the Tues (have to get up in the middle of the night in NZ) but they were all gone, which does worry me. However, maybe some people will drop them as they realise the park closes early? Fingers crossed we get relatively quiet days.

You'll start seeing more people once they start letting the party attendees come in (usually at 4pm). But if you go for rope drop you will probably be done by them - especially with a 6 year old. We park hop to DCA or go to Downtown Disney. There are also many good places for dinner in the area.

They MIGHT have all been scooped up before 6, but I'd bet they are just holding onto them for that week. Time to set up a reminder?
