Early Check-In?

We are staying at POP 8/24-8/29 and we have an early flight this time. We arrive at MCO at 11am. My question is, how often do they offer early check-in? I assume we will arrive at POP via Magical Express around 12-12:30. We will have our carry-on (really just a couple small bags). Our larger luggage will be delivered through the Magical Express. I would love to hit the parks ASAP but I wouldn't want to carry around anything extra. Is it likely that they will give us a room when we arrive? If not, do they have somewhere to put our carry-on items until the room is ready? Thanks!

If you want a room available, make that your ONLY check-in request.

If a room is not ready, you can leave your bags at the desk.

I assume POP has bell services?
Typically just check in then go to the bell services counter and drop off your bags. When you return from the parks either swing by the bell services counter to collect your carry on or go to your room and call bell services to ask them to delver your bags. I always carry a bunch of $1.00s for tipping if I think I'll be using bell services. Unlike your DME bags which should be delivered to your room whether you are in it or not, bell services needs you to be in the room to deliver bags.

If the room is not ready just leave your bags with the bell hop and get them when you come back to the resort. If the room is ready you can drop them off but either way you can get to the parks as soon as you want to.

At Pop, I believe they have "luggage assistance" which is basically bell services but not exactly on demand. You can leave the bags with them. They'll give you a claim check. When you return from the parks, claim your bags and head to your room. It is certainly possible that your room will be ready when you arrive and if that is the most important thing to you, note that as your only request (as @_aurorabourealis_ suggested). Otherwise, if a room location is more important to you, just stow your bags with luggage assistance.

I have found if you go up to check-in, the front desk will call head of mousekeeping(?) and see if there is anything available. It's a toss up. If the resort is full, they probably can't wedge you in anywhere. Always do online check-in too of course.

I have done online check in with two requests. 6 am arrival and as close as possible to transportation without a preferred room and it was ready when we got there. I drove all night, checked in, showered, breakfast and then MK rope drop... that was a long day/night/day. Totally worth it though.

I've checked in at the Poly and BC around 6:30am and was given a room right away both times. Our last trip at CSR, we checked in around 7am and our room was ready around 1pm. I did not do online check-in. We just keep our park stuff handy in case our room isn't ready we can just head out.

We always arrive in the morning and always checked in when we arrived with no problem. Most of the time our room was ready and sometimes it isn't. I do online check-in from now on though. They have the time of your arrival, so they try their best to get the room ready. Last year was great.. I got a text that my room was ready, with the room number before getting on DME and I was able to go straight to my room upon arrival around 11am. This year we have a very early flight, and we land at 8:30am. I am doing online check-in again and we'll hope for the best. We plan on just hanging out at the resort to relax at the pool after we arrive, so we'll have our bathing suits in our carry-ons just in case the room isn't ready.

Without even requesting early check in, the last 3 times at BW and AllStarMU in between we got a room on arrival, well before 11 am. It actually screwed up my plans as I wished to drop the bags and head right to WS for Food&Wine.

Last time I stayed at POP they just took the bags to our room when the room was ready. We didn't have to wait.

I've done 3 stays of 1 night each over the 10 days. Checked in at 6:45 Am, 8:45 Am, and got a room ready text at 8:43 AM the other day and we didn't even leave home until 10:30. It's worked well for me. :)
