early check in, early extra magic hours

Hello, I dont know whether this belongs on this board or the resort board, but here goes: forgive me if i've made a mistake by posting this here. I am new to the boards. i am sure this has already been asked but i searched and could not find anything on the disboards. i am not that handy with searches.

We are staying at Beach Club one night. i want to know if this itinerary works: Check in super early at Beach Club 7am, get Magic Bands and head over to Hollywoods Studios for early extra Magic Hours. the next day get up early and do the early extra magic hours at epcot.

This is just fine. Be sure really get there early enough to get through check in, then out to the boat, and get to DHS in time for opening. In my estimation 7am is just early enough. Small risk of being later if you have to wait in any line at the resort.

Thank you. This is a great relief to me and my family, especially my son Totino Boy, the kid loves pizza rolls. I think it will be cool having a place to come back to for the afternoon swim!

Yes, and we did exactly what you are describing with a 1-night stay at YC a few years ago. One suggestion: We left our luggage with Bell Services and packed swimsuits in our park bags, just in case our room wasn't ready by the time we were ready for a swim break. Even when driving, I'd throw the swimsuits in a park bag to avoid going out to the car to get them.

one more thang. what is the absolute earliest we can check in and leave our luggage with them? i would love to get there at 6am, but im afraid they will say "c'mon, now you are really pushing it...we are not going to let you check in this early." thanks

Check in anytime on that day. Now they don't promise the room until 4pm, but you can start using everything including your meal plan if you get one. Flights arrive at all hours so they are used to it. So grab the extra Java and enjoy.

Unless your reservation is coming up really soon they should ship your magic bands to you at your home (unless you're out of the US). If you have your bands in hand already loaded with ticket media you don't even really have to go by the hotel first.

this keeps getting better , thank you oh so much. i guess this is the kind of convenience they were aiming for with the magicbands. i know its probably a pain in the keester for some, at times, but little things like this are a measure of progress. all we need is a place to grab totino's pizza rolls on property and we are in heaven!

Doubtful that you'll find Pizzarolls unless maybe you're staying at a resort that also has DVC villas. The resorts with villas usually have a shop that will offer limited frozen foods since they have kitchens. Which property are you booked at?

Beach Club near the Swan/Dolph. I think i read that the rooms do not have microwaves or anything along those lines, but we may bring out our own 'za rolls. people are usually nice about letting us cook them somewhere. or i suppose i can pre-cook a bunch and bring with -- no big deal, the kid craves snacks that are quick and have a spicy kick, but he will make do for a day if he has to. i feel silly even typing this!

Beach Club does not have microwaves unless you're in the Villas but there are microwaves for use in the BeachClub Marketplace, their quick serve place. They also have toasters. All the BC rooms have coffee makers and mini fridges that have a small "freezer" compartment but it doesn't really get cold enough to freeze. If you drive and bring the Totinos or make a grocery run if you have a car, they should be okay thawed in the fridge for your stay. As a mom of teens I know what you mean about food!

thank you for the heads up, i was going to ask if there might be a common usage microwave on the grounds. i mean, what if a mom or dad needed to warm up some formula or something. surely they have somewhere they can do that. before i get flambéed, i am not comparing the "totino's crisis " to the needs of a baby!

Good question, maybe there's a TA out there that can answer it. It seems like if the bands showed media they would show that you had a reservation beginning that day but I may be wrong....

Disney is now doing something where you can use the magicbands and online check in to bypass the front desk....maybe that will work. they have your credit card stuff on hand and you check yourself in, so you can go right to the parks instead of the room/front desk. I dunno. TA -- Help us we implore you!!!!!

i think 6 am is more than fair, regardless of what time your flight comes in. i will plan for 630 am arrival maybe get to HS for rope drop at 8 am. the magic will ensue from I am not getting in to a contest with you, I just know that we have personally checked in at 4am for a stay that day. So maybe they gave us some pixie dust because it was so early, but we checked in and then sat at the beach with a coffee till the sun came up. It was a great start for us.
