OK, so I can't stop making things for the cruise. The latest is Mickey ears for everyone's doors, personlized with your DIS names. If you don't know what I'm talking about here is a pic:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1323377&page=2&highlight=door+ears Post #20.

Also, I need everyone who is doing goody bags to let me know their cabin number so I can make a list to put in the bags.

Mike, there is info about the group website on the first post of this thread, PM or e-mail me (click on my name on the left and it will bring up those options) if you want the link.

Susan, hang in there only 1 more week to get through.
Does everyone kbow that we are meeting on deck 10, on the terminal side, above the goofy pool on the first day? I guess if you didn't know, you do now.

:wave2: Hi Mike, We had a DD 6 as well and our trip was a Christmas present to us aswell. Got to love those type of gifts :yay:

What are the goodie bags? :confused3

It snowed here for the last couple of days, we have a good couple feet on the ground now. We were almost snowed in our drive way on Sunday. If our plane is delayed with 3 little kids at the airport I am going to go

Wow you guys were very chatty today. I hope everyone who has snow gets it to stop soon. It was nice here today. I did hear that it is supposed to snow this weekend though, but we aren't supposed to get very much.

Welcome BostonMike!!! What a great gift!!!!

Stacie, you are so funny. Thanks for making the magnets.

Wow, y'all have been busy! Just had my last final today. Evil evil history. So glad I changed my major from it.

Welcome BostonMike and family! What a great anniversary present!!!

Has anybody called Shirley about gift baskets? I'm sure it's too late to do it know. Guess I'll have to do it for my next cruise.

Ugh...I really hope it doesn't snow before the cruise. I know it's south-central Texas, but it's happened before. The spring semester last year was delayed a week becasue we got like an inch of snow. Then again, it melted the first day and refroze that night. Knowing my luck, we'll get just enough snow the night before to throw of my friend's wedding and delay my 6 AM flight.

By the way, what time are we meeting up on the first day by Goofy's pool and deck 10? Any specific time or just whenever?

Some of us are having a gift exchange. I made little goody bags to hang on the fish outside your stateroom door. During the cruise things from others will "magically" appear in them. We were trying to keep it to inexpensive items like postcards or magnets from your town, homemade cards, etc. Right now we have six families, I made extra goody bags, let me know if you want to join in.

Did you read about the hair party idea for the girls on formal night? We're still looking for a mom who can do hair.

Congrats on getting done with finals, that is a good feeling, now you have a week to focus on the cruise!

I didn't call Shirley, I really debated about it but never did call, I'll have to do it next time as well.

We had set 2:30 as the meeting time the first day, deck 10 by the Goofy pool, on the side closest to the terminal (I'm pretty sure that's starboard but I'm directionly challenged).

Sorry for the double post. I found an interesting thread last night - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1627762. It's set up so that you can donate items from your cruise to a family on the next cruise, or accept items from a family from the previous cruise. We're accepting sand toys from someone on the 12/8 Magic and donating the toys and our Christmas decorations to someone on the 12/22 Magic. Saves on shipping and counts towards recycling! :goodvibes

I need to look through there. I had it marked but then didn't get back to it. I wanted to do the same thing, get sand toys, and leave Christmas stuff. Thanks for the nudge.

Michael, Does it only snow during the MVMCP parade on Main Street? I just remember it being close to a mosh pit and a lady hitting me with her ECV scooter thingy. I'm going to be as far away as possible this time.

It's our first MVMCP but I think it snows throughout the evening. To help avoid the crowds we're going to watch the second parade. Supposedly, they only let 20,000 people in so how bad could it be.

My DD(6)'s name is Mackenzie. I hope they meet up and have a great time!!! I know the last Cruise, I keep trying to take her out of the Lab to go swimming or what not and she was like "Dad I am busy we have lots of stuff going on and me and morgan are going to make flubber" and so on and so on. So I spent alot of time at the gym running. I think i ran over 30 miles in the 4 days on the cruise. Who knows maybe I can hit 50 this time.

Happy Friday, everyone. This time next week, we'll be boarding a plane...:goodvibes

William, congratulations on finishing another semester.

Melissa, are you still hanging in there?

Stacie, thanks for the Mickey ears! They look so cute!

More on shipping (I'm a compulsive planner, can you tell?):
if you have items from the cruise that you need to ship home, I found a recommendation from SNBrown for PakMail at 8501 Astronaut Blvd. #6, Cape Canaveral, FL *32920, (321-799-9905). Their posted hours for Saturday begin at 10am, but the owner agreed to meet us there early, after disembarking. We just need to send him an e-mail earlier in the week (US702@pakmail.org) so he knows what to expect and when to be there.

My kids are looking forward to riding the rides while everyone else is watching the parades. DH and I are hoping to catch the second parade. We are bringing the walkie talkies so the other two can do their own thing.

Same here! I'll be in the air this time next week.

I am. I had a meeting with my professor this morning and he finally gave us good feedback and it looks like I may not have to be doing any final work on the cruise :cool1: :cool1: I should be done Wednesday Evening now.

I'll talk to Alli & Jo-Ellen and see if they can do hair. I can't do hair so I am no help whatso ever.

Stacie, I pm you.
thank-you for all the nice things you are doing. That is so kind of you.

Wow!! :cheer2: :cheer2: [Hey! The congrats smilie is missing!]

My boxes are on their way to Florida!!!! Now I can focus on packing the suitcases!!

School was delayed by 2 hours today so the homeschool activity day was cancelled, no nursery germs or babysitter for Andy. :) BUT, I had to take DD to the Dr. this morning, she was passing someone at swim team last night and got kicked in the hand. Last night her middle finger was sore but this morning she woke up and it was all swollen and purple. They did an x-ray and its not broken but she is supposed to leave it taped for a week. :headache: I should have taken Cristi's advice and strapped her down.

Sharon--I got your PM.

Melissa--So glad you don't have to work on vacation, that would've been a bummer.

Still talking about snow/ice tomorrow but so far the swim meet is still on. Hope everyone has a great (and productive) weekend.

Happy Friday everyone. This has been a busy board today.

Stacie ~ thanks for making the Mickey ears. I had thought about doing that, but didn't know the dimensions. Did you just use the ones in the photobucket account? I might make some for the inlaws. Just plain black since they don't have DIS names. It's been so great of you to make the ears and the goodie bags. I'm not so handy at making things.

I'm not so good at hair. I can bring some nail polish though.

I've got to figure out what to fix for dinner now.

Tomorrow we have the local Christmas parade. Rachel and DH are walking with their y-princess group. I'll meet them there after I work my 4 hours at the veterinary hospital.

Oh, Rachel told me today that one of her school mates is going on this cruise. He's in her drama class, so I'll verify with the parents on Tuesday when they have their performance. "The Velveteen Rabbit" If so, it will be a 7 year old boy.

I'm really going to decide what to do for dinner now.

Have a great weekend everyone...the last one before our wonderful MAGICal cruise.
:yay: :cheer2: :cool1: pirate::beach: :sail: :hourglass

Thats too cute! When I went on my Alaskan Cruise I was the same way - my mother hated how I spent most of my time in clubs rather than hanging out with them.

Stacie - Thank you for the ears!

Susan--I got the template from VerandahMan (Andy). I can make them a pair of plain black. I put our DIS names on them at his advice because he has had trouble with them walking away. It would be crazy if one of Rachel's classmates was on the cruise. What are the chances of that? Good luck with dinner. DS is going to the movies, DD has church group, so DH and I are taking Andy out. It's a good thing we had him otherwise we'd be alone every Friday night, and most Saturday nights. Oh yeah, that's how we got Andy in the first place. :lmao: Sorry, I'll keep it G-Rated.

I don't know how I'll make it through this next week, I'm just too excited!!
