EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Oh no! I did just check the website and it's showing Palo dinners available on the days we're in Port Canaveral (all sittings), Grand Cayman (1 sitting - 8:30 PM), Cozulmel (all sittings), and Castaway Cay (all sittings). Plus I see one brunch sitting (11 AM) on our second sea day (Day 6). High Tea is available on Day 3 at 3 PM.

ETA: I checked reservations for 3 guests. Could that maybe be it? Would it be just you there or all 3 of y'all?

Thanks for informing me on that!

It would be all three of us.

I'll try again later to get on the site once I finish my fight with AutoCAD.
It could also be that work blocks part of the Disney sites making it harder than it should be.

Day 1
Palo Dinner 0 8:30pm (I think we are going to be doubling up with our main meal and palo that night...we'll see)

Day 2
I have a massage at 8:00am in the morning
White Knuckle Trill Ride 12:15pm

Day 3

Day 4
Thriller Sand & Sea Adventure

Day 5
Jungle Hike Expedition

Day 6

Day 7

Melissa and Sharon--Sorry it was so frustrating trying to make ressies. I'm sure there will be Palo ressies once your on board. Did you call DCL at all and explain what happened? I don't know if they'd be able to get you in or not. Wonder what's up with the ressie system?

Yes, I called DCL first thing Monday morning and the CM said "Sorry, look's like it's completely booked". Honestly, I think the Champagne Brunch spots were gone before the 75 day ressie period.

My friend called DCL on Tuesday and the CM told her it's because December is a busy time of year to cruise. Needless to say, we're very disappointed.
We're going to keep trying up until the time we cruise and again once we board the ship.

To those who have a current PassPorter (mine is two years old), can you still bring your own alcohol on board. On our last cruise we brought our own beer. (Found under "Packing Tips" page 71 in the third addition) DH would relax and have a beer in the cabin before dinner, saved us some money.

We also brought a case of bottled water, which is a lot cheeper then buying it on the ship for shore excursions.

Everything I read says it still true.

I'm planning on bringing a handle of JD and Malibu on board.

This will be fun game to watch popcorn::

:jumping1: GO COLTS!!:jumping1:

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I don't mind so much because my ROCKIES made the playoffs!!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:    :cool1: :cool1:

I watched very little of the football game because the baseball game was so intense.

I'm sorry you had such a tough time. I thought they were supposed to keep some open for the 75 day mark. They do keep some open for when you board hopefully you can get in there. On our last cruise we had booked brunch for our first sea day and then DS was sick that morning so we couldn't go. We called and left a message early that morning to cancel and they called us back later that day to see if we wanted to come in on a different day.

You can bring stuff on board the last I heard.
Does anyone know if you can buy beer in Key West on Sunday? I was thinking that we might do that rather than try to drag one more thing on board Saturday.

Everything I've read says that you can bring drinks on board. There is a Walgreens or CVS in Key West close to the dock. Shirley (snelsonbrown) has posted about it in the past. We were thinking about buying our pop and water there. On our Eastern DH couldn't find any Mt. Dew and it drove him crazy. We finally found a guy selling some out of his little vendor tent, then life was good again.

Thanks-- I'm hoping that's the way it'll work out. pixiedust:

Hey guys. We're still here. Our dog is very sick. This is her diagnosis, cholangiohepatitis. It's very rare. I'm really hoping she can pull through, but the vet isn't being very optimistic.

John is 7 months old now. He's crawling and getting into everything. His top teeth haven't broken through yet and they're giving him (and me) a fit.

DD is almost through her first track out. She goes back to school Monday. We've mostly hung out at home or visited my parents because we've got a big vacation planned in December for her second track out...

Hey Susan!! Yeah for John!!! I'm glad your DD has enjoyed her time at home.

Andy is crawling now too, although it is still faster for him to roll to where he wants to be, then sit up. He crawls short distances to get himself positioned right. He is trying really hard to stand up and can get himself pulled up most times. Good luck with the teeth. We got a "baby safe" feeder for Andy. We fill it up with crushed ice and he gnaws on it like crazy.

(not Andy but you get the idea, didn't know if you knew what I meant by safety feeder)

He got four in one week on the top., still only two on the bottom.

It is a gorgeous day here, temps in the low 80s with a breeze, tomorrow is supposed to be 86!! Where is fall? DS has another band competition on Saturday, they are supposed to get home at 2AM on Sunday. YIKES! I'm thinking that we'll go up and do some shopping before he marches then come home when he's done (no sticking around for the awards and packing up for us), maybe we'll be home before midnight.

Thanks Stacie. We have the mesh feeder. John can go to town on some frozen peaches. The only problem we have is that he won't hold it. He opens his mouth and expects me to hold it for him!! So I sit at the dinner table eating with my right hand and holding a frozen peach for him to gnaw on with my left!!

He can pull up to his knees. I think he has hit separation anxiety. He only wants me right now. Some days I don't get anything done.

Oh, great idea! Beer and soda run at Key West for us! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Susan. It's hard on everyone when the family pet falls ill. Best wishes and some pixie dust for your family...

I'm sorry to hear about your dog Susan. That is tough on everyone. I will send some pixie dust your way.:wizard:

Thanks for the pixie dust. Her blood work was not very good today, but her urine was better. We're going to continue treatment through the weekend and re-evaluate Monday.

Susan--Duh! I forgot to say that we'll praying for your family and your dog. I got so excited to hear baby news and got sidetracked. One of our dogs is 17 (DH got him for me for Christmas when I was a senior in high school), he's seen better days, and we've been struggling to decide something with him for months, he is now confined to one room because he can't be trusted in other parts of the house. Sorry I was so insensitive.

My TA called DCL today to double check a couple things and got the crabbiest CM ever. My TA asked about the refrigerator for the baby formula and the CM said "there's a cooling box, that should be good enough" so we sent the medical form to the pediatrician to have her fill it out stating that DS needs his formula refrigerated not just cooled. My TA also asked about dinner seating, the CM said that we couldn't have a table of 9, just 8, even though one would be a high chair (last cruise we had a table of 13). My TA said she'd call back in a couple days and double check that those things had been taken care of. What a crabby CM!

I found the CVS in Key West, it's on Duval Street Here's the map:http://cvsstore.geoserve.com/scripts/esrimap.dll?Name=L&Com=rc&Mode=0&Db=DLRCvs&Ds=Store&Ci=KEY+WEST&St=FL&Cn=US&Sd=8368&Ux=-81775208&Uy=24562840&Cx=-81806853&Cy=24560823&Rw=76000&Ox=-81775207&Oy=24562839&Oux=-81775208&Ouy=24562840&Ow=273600&Pw=438&Ph=300&DLix=0&ARN=34706&MCA=popup&Val=45600&Map.x=231&Map.y=148
