EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Sharon, I hope everything works out for you
Ulittletinker, sorry you won't be joining us, but the Repo sounds great!!!!!
Susan, Yeah, less than 5 weeks!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: Maybe you will go early. Both of mine came at 37 weeks. :woohoo:
Melissa, Two cruises sounds great! :woohoo: How did it go with the wedding coordinator?

It has been busy around here. Work has been crazy this week. I am glad that most of the time I only work 3 days a week. My eyes are really tired after this week. I did a lot of microscope work on Mon and Tues and I hadn't done any since before my surgery. I am glad I have a few days off from it now.

Cookies come in this weekend. I am trying to get a parent to come and help me sort, but not much luck so far. Of course it doesn't help that I am picking up cookies at 10 am on Sunday morning. I have had a couple of people say that they could help later on Sunday afternoon. I am hoping to have them all sorted and people picking them up by then.

Next weekend we are going on a troop camping trip (lodge camping). I have to finish getting ready for that this weekend too.

Tonight DD has a choir concert. She told us we didn't need to video tape it this time. I feel weird not taping, but it will be nice to just sit back and watch the concert too.

Cookies!!! Ours come in the first week of March. I'm also the council cookie cupboard for the area, the lady that did it before was like the cookie nazi, you could only pick up and drop off cookies at certain times then when you would show up she would say she just sat down for supper and come back in a 1/2 hour. I'm going to try to be a little bit more flexible. My co-leader is going to take over while I'm gone.

Susan--5 weeks is not very long!!!!!

Wedding Coordinator still hasn't called :(

I'll give them a buzz around 3 if I still haven't heard anything.

Susan, hopefully those 5 weeks will fly by fast!

I forgot it was Girl Scout Cookie time. Yum! Hopefully the stand inside the mall I work at will be set up soon :D

Thanks for the well wishes. I have a shower this Saturday. I'm quite excited!!

DD came 4 days early. So while I'm hoping for an early delivery, realistically, I'm not expecting one.

Our cruise date is getting closer too...

I haven't been able to get on the site for about a week.

Thanks for all the hugs. The first few night I didn't sleep wondering if SS was going to move. I finally got it in my head I can't any thing about it till they sell the house. I try & not think about it.

Glad everyone is doing good.
Pinkprincessmom, how was the baby shower. Hope you receieved every thing you need & more. Before you know it you will be doing bundles of :laundy: ;) .

We got about an inch of snow now it is turning to sleet. tomorrow the roads are to be a sheet of ice.

Every one take care:grouphug:

Found out this morning that one more friend is joining Jo-Ellen and I are our cruise, which should be exciting.

Sharon...thanks for asking about the shower. I was quite overwhelmed by the turn-out. I got tons of boy clothes. I shouldn't need to shop at all for the first year!! We also got plenty of bibs and blankets, a swing, bouncy seat. My MIL gave me the quilt and diaper bag she made from UNC fabric. Once we get the baby's room straight again, I'll post a picture. I love the room. I just hope the ultrasound tech. is right about this being a boy!!

Hope everyone has a happy Valentine's day. DD was so sweet this morning. She made DH and I valentines from the ones we bought her for her classmates. She ran in our room while we were still sleeping and put them on the night stand. We heard her run in and run out and didn't know what was going on.

Today is the 15th, another month closer to December!!!! :cool1:

Susan--Glad you got lots of nice things. I was very relieved when the Dr. said "It's a boy". What a great way to wake up on Valentine's day. DH got up early and brought home flowers for me and valentine cookies for the kids.

An update on Andy--When we started formula he went from being a spitty baby to a really spitty/vomitting baby. He hasn't gained much weight in the last month. He had an ultrasound last Friday to rule out pyloric stenosis, it came back clear. We took him to a pediatrician yesterday. She thinks it might be GERD. She ordered an upper GI to confirm it or rule it out and discontinued the medicine that our family doc had put him on and prescribed a different one. Hopefully he'll get straightened out soon.

Sorry to hear this about Andy. My youngest baby didn't gain much weight(he weighed in at 9.2) ouch. my first son was (9.12) a bigger ouch. Anyway YS was started losing weight & was spiiting up all the time. Projection votiming. The finally discovered at 5 months he was allerigic to all the different formals we tried every month. We had to put him on pro sobie formal .That seemed to work & he started gaining weight again,& kepping the formal down. At 5 months old he only weighed about 15 lbs.

Hope everthing works out for you & Andy

Hopefully they will be able to figure it out why soon...

Hi Stacie...I'd ask about allergies too, especially if GERD is ruled out. Hopefully they'll figure it out soon and Andy will start gaining weight.

Best wishes. Keep us posted.

Hello from page 3!

The upper GI confirmed that Andy has reflux. The next step is to see if the medication starts working to where the formula stays down. I did ask about allergies because we discovered when DS was 3 that all of his sinus/congestion problems were due to lactose intolerence DD was an infant then so we switched her to soy formula and she went from being a cranky baby to a happy baby. They both outgrew there sensitivities. The Dr. didn't think Andy's symptoms sounded like an allergy. I guess we'll take it one step at a time.

Susan--Your'e getting so close. Do you have everything ready?

Melissa--Do you get a spring break? The one thing I liked most about college were the breaks!

Sharon--Any news about your DGD?

Hello from page 3!

Melissa--Do you get a spring break? The one thing I liked most about college were the breaks!
I wished I had a spring break this year. Because I'm going out of the country for my IQP (one of my projects required for graduation dealing with society and technology) I don't get a spring break this year. My current semester ends next Thursday, I'm on a plane on Friday off to Cape Town, South Africa where I get to take a 22 hour bus ride to Windhoek, Namibia. I won't return until the evening of May 9th. I have so much to get ready for leaving though...still need to get my traveler's checks, dress clothes because I'm working with the Namibia government, pack, and who know what else. I already have my visa and passport and 3 months of medications (malaria and b.c.)

At least 6 weeks after I come back I get to go to Disney World :D

At least they figured out he has reflex so he can start gaining weight soon.

Hi again. Had an appt. today. Nothing new. Just sent me home to come back next week.

Stacie...I'm glad they figured out the problem with Andy. I hope the medication works and he will start gaining weight.

Happy President's Day!!

Hi all! I haven't been around for awhile. Starting around the 9th I was really sick with the flu! I was miserable, with fever, aches and chills for about 5 days straight and then was still really tired. Last weekend our troop went lodge camping up in the mountains and that wore me out too. This week has been busy with work and girl scouts again. We had a big thinking day event Friday night for our unit and I spent Thurs and Friday getting ready for it since I didn't get anything done the week before. I had to work this weekend and now in a little over an hour I have to leave for a booth sale for GS. Whew.... I am really tired of GS right now.

Stacie, how is Andrew doing? I hope you found some formula that works for him.
Susan, Any baby yet?
Melissa, you are probably already gone, but have a great trip!

Hey Cristi!! Glad you're feeling better. That's a lot of Girl Scouts. Andy gained a 1/2 pound last week. We're still waiting on the milk intolerence test results, but I think we're getting closer.

We had nasty weather here this weekend, rain that turned to freezig rain, followed by snow. Lots of power outages. Ours was only out for a couple hours in the night. My Internet just came back on.

Susan--You are certainly in our thoughts baby time is getting close!

I leave Friday, but thanks!

I won't be on much anyway the next few days between finals and prep work for the trip. So I'll see you all when I get back!
