EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Welcome ulittletinker! The more the merrier! The cruise will make a lovely Christmas gift. How old are your DDs?

Sharon-your Christmas trip sounds fantastic. I don't try to explain to anyone how we can afford Disney, to me it's kind of like the MasterCard commercials, priceless.

We're home from camping because a thunderstorm came through, I think we'll go see Cars tonight and wait for it to stop raining.

Well, the housing story has a conclusion, we bought a house yesterday. Four bedrooms, 2.5 acres, hard surface road, couple miles from town. Additional shop with storage space for all our "stuff". I feel SOOOOO relieved that we'll have a place that fits us. We take posession Aug 15 so plenty of time before baby. We're still renting the place in town, so that our house can be empty while it's being shown.

Back from the movie, it was great. Someone had mention the tractor-tipping scene, that to an Iowa girl was one of the funniest parts.

Sharon-Sorry to back out on the bulldozer. I forgot to say that I'm glad that you had a good report at the Dr. Are you cleared to drive again? Your camping sounds like ours. We started out in a two-person tent, bought a bigger one when the kids came along. Last year we bought a 1978 Jayco pull-behind from a family that bought it new. They used it at the county fair and the state fair every year. It is in really good condition and we LOVE it.

Littletinker what ages are your DDs? When we cruise my DD be 12 and my DS will be 15.

We decided to sleep at home tonight, DS leaves for church camp tomorrow and wanted him to get a good night sleep.

DS and I saw Cars a little over a week ago (DD was shopping with grandma). I really liked it! The tractor tipping scene was hilarious! The kids and I went and saw RV at the cheap seats the other day. It was cute, but I am glad I didn't pay full price for it.

The movers are coming tomorrow and everything is still not packed. But I will get it done, one way or another.

I just dropped DD(8) off at girl scout camp for five nights, I am sick about it!!! I just hope they take care of her. She looked so lost and the two counselors that I saw didn't seem all that enthusiastic about being there. Ughhh!!

I have to pack up the computer tonight, which by the way has a nasty virus!!! So I don't think I will be back on here until after I get settled in the new house, so if you don't hear from me in a while, you will know why. See you guys later.

DD will be fine at camp. My DD wants to go to GS camp this year, but she didn't want to go by herself and besides we are pretty busy with other vacations this summer. Maybe next year she can go. She will get to go camping with daycare this summer. They are going up for two nights/ three days to Rocky Mtn National Park. That will be her first camping trip without me there. I have been at all of the other GS camping trips she has been on.

I think we are up to about 10 families now, but I am not sure. We had a couple of people that have only posted a time or two and I am not certain they are still coming. As for my family it will be myself, DH , DD 12 and DS 9. This is our 3rd cruise and I can't wait! Stacie has a website ready to use for all of our info, but we haven't started using it yet. She actually had it up months ago, but thought it was too early.

Welcome ulittletinker. I have a dd who will also be 7 at the time of the cruise.

My DH thinks this cruise is too far away. He's thinking of doing a non-Disney cruise to tide him over. I guess I'm a Disney snob, because I don't want to do another cruise line. We'll see what happens. He usually gets what he wants.

I hope everyone is having a great summer. We're getting lots of rain here. DD goes back to year round school on July 17. Our summer is almost over.

We're getting lots of rain here.

Why can't there be a happy medium? You are getting too much rain and we don't get any. Well, I will take that back. Saturday we did get just over 1/2 inch after going for probably at least 2 months without any measurable rain. We had some pretty wicked hail and wind too.

Thanks Pink! That looks great! We haven't heard from Vanessa in awhile (I cruised with her in Dec 05). On her December06 cruise thread she mentioned that she might be going back to school and may have to cancel that cruise. I am not sure about this one.

I don't think you left anyone out. There are a couple more names (lbgraves has posted,but she is going on the cruise two weeks before us), but the others I am not sure about.

Hi Grand Queen...thanks for the speedy response. Is it just you and Dgodd's mother or are any kids coming too? My in-laws are coming with us as well. Guess I should add that to the list. We are repeat cruisers. This will be their first cruise.

Hi Cristi...I missed your post about the rain. It seems like just a month ago we were in a severe drought with strick water restrictions. Now we have flood warnings. DD has been taking swim lessons in the rain. They're saying we should dry out by the end of the week.

Pink, where do you live? We have been in a drought for a few years now. I actually thought this year was going to be better because the mountains got a lot more snow this year. It isn't as bad this year as the past couple though and we don't have watering restrictions this summer yet, but here at my house we have had very limited rain.

That is so great that you thought to put a list of everyone who is comming and the kids. I am still getting confused as to who everyone is but in the next 17 months I am sure I will get with it.

Welcome to all the new families!!!!

On a sad note....pack my children and put them on a bus for 7days to go to camp. I thought it would be a nice chance for me to finish up all the major projects I have going on in the house. But all I find my self doing is looking at the clock and wondering what they are up to. I know it is a good thing for them to go and get more independent but darn it......it's harder then I thought it would be.

On a good note the siding is done...floors are going in on Saturday and I am almost done sanding and painting.
