Stupid question of the day, but we are staying at the all star sports in January. We will be getting a towncar from the airport to the hotel. Will the hotel hold our luggage (I'm assuming they do) while we go to the parks if we pre-check in since we will be arriving before check in time? Also, do they deliver the luggage to your room or do you pick it up when you officially check in and get your room card. When we stayed at the movies two years ago we had a rental car and left the luggage inside it, so I did not have this question. Thanks.

All of the resorts will hold your luggage for you. I guess you'd pick it up on your way to the room, but I'm not sure. I've never stayed at the values, and I don't think they deliver the luggage like the other resorts. I think I may have read that they will deliver it, but it can take up to an hour. In that case, I'd probably just get it myself if I could.

They will hold your luggage until your room is ready. They will delivery them to your room, but it might not be done right away. They do not deiver them by room but by building. Once I knew what my room number was I returned to the bell desk to pick up my suitcase.

In Nov/Dec, 2000, we stayed at the Movies; our plane had arrived around 9:00 AM, and we were at the hotel I guess around 9:30 or so. Our room was not ready, so we checked the luggage with bell services and headed over to Epcot. We stayed at Epcot all day, then did the Candlelight Processional package and stayed for Illuminations. Upon our return to the hotel, our luggage had already been brought to our room. (I did have to go to the front desk to have them "activate" my key and they told us the room #).

The service was great at the All Star Movies!!!

We stayed at the Movies again last Nov/Dec, although this time, we arrived around 1:00 AM. We did not need bell services this time, since we were able to go directly to our room. However, there was a CM outside to greet us as the towncar service dropped us off.

Thank you for the responses. It was just one of those little things I wanted to clarify before the trip.

Not sure what time you'll be arriving, but in our last trip we arrived at 11:45 and checked in - our room was ready!

Just last weekend, and another couple and DH/I stayed at ASMu.
DH and I checked in at 3:30. Our room was ready.
The other couple checked in late morning (noon-ish). Their room was not ready. They checked their luggage and went to the pool. So just as a word of warning in case you do this -- guests are expected to take their room towels to the pool.
Of course they had no room, so hence, no towels. ;) She was able to get a towel from a CM she ran across.
When DH and I were leaving 11 - noonish last Monday, you wouldn't believe the lonnnnng line of guests wanting to check in. Not that the front desk was slow. There were just piles of guests flocking in for early check-in.
