Early Arrival at ASMo

Greetings,

Our family of 5 (18mo, newly 4yo, 5.5yo, newly 38, and 39) will be at WDW from 05-Jun through 12-Jun.

Our plane lands at 1:25PM. We'll be taking DME to ASMo. All told, I guess it takes about an hour to get from the gate to the hotel lobby.

How does our checked luggage find its way from the MCO Southwest Airlines carousel to the bus?

We'll get to ASMo around 2:30PM. Am I correct that check-in is at 4PM?

How do/can we request an early check-in?

If not, what might we do with ourselves for 90 minutes to 2 hours, without going to any of the theme parks? DTD?

Your specially tagged luggage will be picked up before it reaches the carousel and put on a truck and delivered to All-Star Movies.

Not to discourage you, but your check-in line could be as much as 30 minutes.

Once you arrive at All-Star Movies, if your room is ready you will be told what room # you have and can go ahead over to your room. If it is not ready, you will be given your resort IDs, can purchase tickets if necessary, and can go on your merry way.

You will probably be hungry by then, so go to the food court and grab a bite.

If the weather is nice, bring your swimsuits in your carry-on and stop by the bath houses by the pool and change and take a dip in the pool.

Have Disney store your carry-on luggage and just wander around the resort with your camera and take pictures.

There is also a poolside bar if you would like to have an adult beverage or two.

There are also a couple of dry land playgrounds at the resort.

Believe me, in Disney time - 90 minutes to 2 hours is not very long at all. Going all the way to DTD and back could kill 3 or 4 hours without doing much of anything.

You can check in when you arrive - your room just may not be ready. If your room is not ready, they will give you everything you need, park tickets, etc, and a card with a phone number to call to check on your room.

Take a walk, let the kids play in the pool or playground. Get a bite to eat in the food court.
