Early ADR at MK-drive or boat?

We are staying at FW next week. We plan on driving our own vehicle for most of the trip. But we have an early ADR for 8:05 @ MK. I have been told that from FW, it is best to take the boat to MK. Does this drop you off right at the entrance to MK? Will it be running early enough to get us there in time?

You'd have to check on the timing with a CM at Fort Wilderness, but yes, the boat will drop you off near the MK turnstiles. This is far superior to driving, because you'd have to make your way out of FW, drive to the MK lot, then take the monorail or, if it's running that early, the ferry.

Unless it is a morning EMH at MK that day, the boat to MK will not be running. You could take the boat to CR and then walk to the MK from there. The CR boat starts at 6:45AM. I would plan on getting to the dock no later than 7.

If the boat isn't running, then we might as well drive, as I would rather have our own vehicle anyway. We plan on doing some off site things, so this would save having to come back to the campground. We should have no problem parking at MK this early correct? I have read that for our early ADR at AK, we can't get into the parking lot that early, is this the only park that has this problem?

I have never been there before, but from what I am reading, once we park in the MK parking lot, this is still quite a distance from the entrance? Is there a map of this somewhere?
