What is the earliest time I can check-in. I know that my room probably won't be ready, but I want to be checked in with my key, so all I'll have to do is call to get my room number later. Thanks!

Officially you are able to check in at 3:00pm. We have checked in once at 10;00 am and was able to get a room right then at POFQ. We did not get the building we requested but it did not matter because that resort is so small we were still close to the bus stop and food court. In May we drove to WDW (first time) and arrived at 3:00 am( 12 hours before check in) We were able to check in again without getting our location choice. This time we stayed at CBR and we were further away to the food court, etc.. then we would have liked to have been, but at 3:00 am we just wanted to sleep. Overall, things worked out fine because we were only staying for a few days so the location was as important if we were staying for 10 days like we usually do.

Wow. They let you check in at 3 in the morning. I guess me checking in around 8 am won't be that bad then. I don't expect my room, just want to get the paperwork out of the way. Thanks!

We just stayed at AKL and I had called in ahead of time to see if I could just get the car pass early and the room later and I was told that we could check in anytime after 8am - not guaranting the room would be ready, just that it was possible.. we ended up checking in at 10am and the room already assigned to us was ready.

We checked in last year at 8:30am at the YC. We was not expecting our room to be ready but wanted to get to the parks early. We were pleasantly suprised our room was ready and we could go right up.

We always get an early fight when going to WDW. We usually arrive at the resort between 10:00AM and 11:00AM. I have never been lucky enough to have a room ready, and we end up putting our luggage in storage and go to the parks for a few hours, then return about 2:00PM.

They give you a card with a number that you can call to checkup on your room. I have never been crazy about the card thing though. I like knowing where I am going to sleep when I leave the front desk.

Normally you could not check in at 3:00 am because the computers would not be through with the closing of the previous day. The computers must have finished thier work very early that morning, or the manager made some kind of exception.

But you could complete the entire procedure, short of getting your actual room, by 5:30 or 6:00 am. There will be Front Desk Clerks on duty by that time and they CAN complete the entire check in procedure. If you have UPH tickets, you can then hit the parks at opening.

I just called today about checking in early. We'll be at CSR for one night before moving to OKW. Since we're getting a UPH for one person in our group after we move to OKW, we wanted to check-in there as early as possible just to pick up the pass so that we could go to the parks.

According to the front desk at OKW, we can check-in as early as 6 a.m.

Wow! 3AM ... is that considered a really late or really early check-in? Just kidding! :p

We have been able to checkin with a room ready as early as 9:00. It all depends on how crowded the hotel is and what your room preferences are. Our last trip to AKL in October, we wanted Zebra trail, 4th floor.... we got in around 10:00 and at that time they only had Kudu Trail available. We asked (very politely) if there was any chance a Zebra trail room may become available later in the day. She assigned us a room right there and we just had to wait a little bit. They are very, very accomodating!!!

We checked in at CBR around 7 or 7:30. It was nice b/c there was not a line. Our room wasn't ready but that was no big deal. We left our luggage with them and headed off to the parks.

Last time, we checked into CSR around 7:30 a.m. We didn't realize it was so early because the clock at our other hotel was off...hehe.
They did have all of our room requests (Cabana, waterview, king bed) but told us it would not be ready until after 3 p.m. We took our unactivitated keys, left our luggage in our car, went to MGM and called the resort as we were told after 3 p.m. and got our room number. It was that easy.
