For a quick meal at downtown Disney, Earl or Wolfgang? :confused3
Both menus look interesting, I just can't decide. Help!

Both places have really good food. :thumbsup2 WPE has a broader variety of dishes; EofS specializes in sandwiches.
Since neither place needs a reservation, why not wait until you're in DTD to see which appeals to you then? :cool1:

I happen to love Wolfgang Express; But we usually choose between the two based on the lines! Most of the time Earl has longer lines, so we go to Wolfgang Express.

I haven't eaten at Wolfgang Puck Express, but I really like the salads at Earl of Sandwich. Looking at the menus, Earl is definitely the less expensive option. AAA members can get a 15% discount at Earl.

We have eaten at both. We liked both but WPE is the best counter service in all of WDW in our opinion. Its actually like getting table service for counter service prices. You place your order in a line but then waiters bring you your food and refill your drinks. The food is just excellent quality in our opinion.

I agree completely.

Can't go wrong really. If you really want Earl of Sandwich, don't be put off by large line at lunch. Moves pretty quick, no more than about 10 min in line.

I was going to say Earl for lighter meal, Wolfgang Express for heartier meal, but I realize I'm probably basing this on what I could get with QSDP, and I don't know if you mean you have dining plan or not. If so, this holds true, and the "cost" is the same. Otherwise, Earl is great and is not too expensive. (Sandwich $5.99, doesn't come with any sides, but still beats the heck out of any other counter service in all of WDW.) WP Express is great but easy to ring up a larger tab there if paying out of pocket.

Despite the more elaborate stuff at WP, they can be equally as fast from entry to getting food.

Both are outstanding! But, after eating at WPE this last time it will always be WPE for me in the future. Wishing we had one here!! The Creme Brulee alone is worth going here!! :cloud9: I'm not one to crave any one kind of food, that was until I ate here!!! Someone mentioned eating a salad at EoS, you haven't tried a salad until you've tried the Turkey cobb at WPE!!! Oh....My....Goodness!!! It's big enough to feed two people!! Very tasty! The lines might be a bit long at both places, but they move quickly.

AllEars.net has reviews, you should pop over there to get a better idea, they also list the menu's of any place you would eat on property. This was my saving grace when it came to picking our dinners for the trip. :goodvibes

I have always chosen WPE over Earl...but that is because I can eat Earl of Sandwich anytime I want! Earl certainly makes a delicious sandwich; incredibly filling, very fresh, and lots of variety. But I tend to go with WPE because of the quality and the fact that it's something I can't get at home!

I don't think you can go wrong with either.

We go to both at least once, sometimes twice per visit! They're both very good. The Earl line always looks longer, but it moves so much faster than the WPE line. The WPE line I feel like I'm in for forever, it's like no one has any idea what they want when they go up (Earl makes people stand aside if they don't know what they want when they get to the front, and takes the next person in line - that's why it moves faster).

Don't forget they also tell you to pay at the 2nd register next to the area where you pick up your food, because at the 1st one is just where you order and they give you the pager. So I always thought that was why their line moves very fast.

I have always wanted to try Earl, but I can never get past WPE!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It is ALWAYS our first meal at Disney. Check in, catch the boat to DTD, and have an amazing lunch!

We enjoyed WPE so much on our last trip - I can't wait to go back again next summer! Their pastas are to die for - I still talk about them....yum! :thumbsup2

EOS has some great sandwiches. If you are paying OOP and looking for a less expensive meal, this is a great place for your $$$.
If you are only the dining plan, WPE is the best use of a CS credit. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent.
If I had to pay OOP I would still probably choose WPE in terms of options, portion size and quality of food.
:)
