Why couldn't they move it to another park or a resort. It doesn't even say, where it went. Even at the Car Care Center it would of fit. People have no clue half the time, that a Car Care Center is near the MK.

So sad. It was always one of my favorite icons. I understand that it no longer fits the park- but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it shows up somewhere else on property for us to admire and enjoy!

Disney could have used it for that rumored refurbishment of TOT and called it the Earful Tower of Terror!

Really sad to see this go. Just told my DH it's gone. I was kind of hoping they'd hold off a while and we'd get to see it this fall one last time. I always liked it. I do hope they put it somewhere else. They should have put it at Disney Springs.

They actually are building a new water tower for Disney Springs, but it will not be very "Earful."

The more Disney is losing its Hollywood appeal and taking on a Star Wars heavy approach, the more I think it'd benefit from changing its name to something "Stars" related.

The "Stars" would pertain to both Star Wars and the Stars of Hollywood.

Unfortunately, I get the feeling Disney is going to completely get rid of the old time Hollywood theme and push it into a Pixar/Computer Animation era.

Lets not forget that the place where the Earful Tower was will be Toy Story Land not SWLand. The name change might come but the park is not all SW like some people want to believe.

WHOA.. did that happen overnight? I just drove past it and took some night photos from the side of the road.....

and I knew the fireworks changed they sounded longer and looked different from home last night!!


They should really move this to springs or somewhere appropriate like next to BTMR.

Boo! Hope they put it somewhere else. I made a point in the WDW marathon to film running by it It's sad all the changes in a way, I like change, but it would be nice to have some of the old with the new.

It doesn't really fit anywhere else. Water towers signify movie studios. DHS is not a studio anymore, it was time to change.

my town isn't a movie studio and has a water tower.. There is places it fits to have a mickey ear water tower on property.. POR maybe?

The fact that it vanished in what 10 hours tells me they knocked it over and it's probably damaged.

We all knew it had to come down for Toy Story Land, but there is no reason it couldn't be relocated. It would be a perfect fit in the big round "topiary" garden in front of the park. (where Fantasia brooms and Mickey are in picture)

It was the original icon and deserves more respect than it got.

I disagree it doesn't fit ..... water towers are everywhere. Cities use them, look on top of the older buildings in NYC. It was never a working tower, it was a symbol, and it still could be a symbol. The front of the park is already the least impressive entrance, actually not impressive at all, and that could have done the trick. When I looked at the front, that was what stood out, the rest .... blah. Very disappointed.

FYI: I happened to notice a WDW disneyparks mug that has the earfull tower and some things that will be gone now.. You might want to look for it if your vacationing soon before they change the design again if hot mugs are something you buy from disney. (or order it from shop parks app)
