Ear / hearing question

Just wondering if this is normal...

Put earplugs in your ears or in some other way plug your ears.

Do you hear a constant, low ringing/hum?

I don't know because I hear a ringing in my ears all the time, hearing loss will do that to you (I have hearing loss, not implying that you do). It would be something you would want to get checked out just in case though.
