e-ticket and downtown disney

I just another thread that mentioned e-tickets. What are these and how does it work?

Also, how far is downtown disney from DCA? Do the ART and hotel shuttles stop near downtown disney? Or would it be quite a walk to Downtown Disney?

E tickets are a blast from the past.

Years ago going into the park you would buy a ticket book to get onto the rides. A tickets were the lesser rides. E tickets would be the big rides (Matterhorn for example)

When people refer to E tickets they are referring to the big rides.

The shuttles drop you at a transit plaza that is a very small walk to the park enterances (which are right in front of each other).

Downtown Disney entrance is right right there as well!

The DLR experience is an intimate one as compared to WDW!!!!
