E-Ride Nights - Gone Forever??

Since there are so many posters concerned with the lack (or discontinuation) of E-Ride nights, let's start emailing or writing letters. Be careful, though. I emailed and received two responses that failed to answer my question dealing with the end of the program. One reply informed me that there weren't any nights scheduled for July and the other gave me pricing and open attractions. Let's let WDW know that we want our E-Nights!!

Is this a speculation or a fact? Are they doing away with E-ride nights altogether? Or just certain parts of the year?

I think it's speculation, but there haven't been any e-ride nights scheduled since before November, as far as I'm aware. Maybe before that. I'm also concerned that they may be ending this program and think those of us who do want e-ride nights, need to let WDW know they are still very much in demand!

As stated in my post, it is a speculation. Looking at historical E-Ride nights, one may assume that WDW is cutting back or ending the E-Ride nights, perhaps quietly so as not to create a deluge of protest. Just my opinion, and hopefully incorrect, but I think it will help if individuals write to WDW to express their feelings about keeping E-Ride nights.

If any CMs out there have any information about the future of E-Ride nights, it would be greatly appreciated.:D

I haven't heard anything about E-Ride nights being discontinued.

I thought E-Ride nights were generally offered during crowded times of year only... They had MVMCP in December, which is essentially E-Ride. January and February are low crowd times, so I wouldn't really be surprised at no E-Ride nights then.

March will start to get busy, but we're weeks away, and there's still plenty of time for them to announce E-Rides for March.

Did you read somewhere that they're eliminating E-Ride nights? I hope not...

For clarification purposes: I have not read that they are being discontinued, but looking at the historical dates (including January and February) there have been E-Ride nights scheduled in the past for times that do not currently have E-Ride nights scheduled. Looking at this information, I am only concerned that WDW MAY be doing away with E-Ride nights and would like others who enjoy them voice their satisfaction with the program to WDW. Looking at historical E-Ride data, January and February for the past several years have had E-Ride nights scheduled.

:wave2: Hi Kathy!!!!! I haven't seen you on WISH in a while!!! :teeth: I miss your cheery posts.

Just wanted to chime in and say that E-Ride nights actually were designed for the low periods. It was so that in January, when the sun sets at the same time The Magic Kingdom closes their entrance turnstiles, for a night or two a week, January visitors would get to see The Magic Kingdom after dark.

But then, as Disney saw how much money they could make, the extended it into peak times. Eventually, it became more of a peak season experience, than an off-season one!

Actually, the first e-rides were in August 97. We were lucky enough to do one and it was amazing. The cms were new at it and sooo friendly.

The last time we had the option was Jan 2001. I was very disappointed both last year and this year that it was not operating. I didn't think to send an email, I will now.

I too am concerned that Disney is quietly doing away with E-Ride Nights by simply not scheduling any. For some time, E-Ride Nights have been one of the only ways I could justify spending the money Disney charges for its on-site hotels. Early Entry is useless for us as we don't get up early on vacation. We were last at Disneyworld in November. Other years there have been one and sometimes two E-Ride nights during our stay. This last time none. Unless this changes, it may well be HIFS for us.

I'd either write a letter to Guest Services (I know the exact address is at Allearsnet.com, but I believe it is PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830) or email Guest Services from the WDW website. I emailed them and didn't get a straight answer, but I'm going to try a third time. :D

I love e-ride nights. Might just have to drop them a line
