Trying to decide whether or not to get any dining plan at all, but have been intriqued by a CM who encouraged me to split a dining plan across rooms.
I have a 16 person group going in November (with 6 rooms). For two of those rooms, I have 5 people in one room, 2 in another. The 5-room group consists of 3 adults and two children, ages 3 and 4. The two in the other room are not big eaters. The 3 adults in the other room like to eat and enjoy alcoholic beverages.
Would sharing the DxDP between these two rooms be beneficial? And yes, I'm looking to maximize value (break even or come out ahead in this scenario)?
We do have a big group dinner at Citricos on our arrival night but I'm not keen on "wasting" the credits on a 2 TS credit meal so that meal would be OOP.
I understand that on the DxDP, I could pay for the kid's plan and use them for adult meals for other people in the 2 person room. On the surface, it sounds like a good idea, but I may be missing something.
We do plan to do one or two character meals, if that helps.
