DW's dad unexpectedly passed away this weekend.

My darling DW (AKA: Thumper_Man's Wife) unexpectedly lost her dad this weekend. Although she is a recent member, she was a long time lurker through me. Took me a while, but I finally convinced her to sign up. Just asking for all the wonderful Dis'ers to keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. It's been a rough road recently for her family as she just lost her grandmother 4 months ago as well.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, I lost my Dad earlier this year and it has been an awful time, I hope you find comfort in each other.

The main thing for me was remebering to eat, sounds so basic but in the first few weeks that just passed me by, if it hadn't have been for my family I don't think I'd have eaten. i just remembering plates of foods appearing.

Take care of yourself too so you can look after her.

I will keep you both in my thoughts.

mommasita, hillfamilyx4 and quasar4legs, thank you so much. It was a rough week for her this week. We finished with all the services yesterday. She hasn't even visited the disboards since this happened. I sent her the link for this thread and when she finds times, she will come on and thank you all personally. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

I think the week of a funeral is one of the most exhausting life experiences and often the whole thing takes place when everyone is still in shock.

hillfamilyx4, Thank you and my condolences on your loss as well . Eating was definitely a challenge, and still is sometimes. But once i was reminded it was easier.

Quasar, thank you so much. That hug means a lot to me. My DH has been my rock, i don't think i would have made it through without him. And i'm sure he knows it since i thanked him a million and one times throughout it all.

Thank you all once again. It's nice to know that people i have never met other than this board are more caring that even i can comprehend at times like this. Your prayers, sympathies and love are overwhelming and dear to me. Thank you!
