dvt - had to cancel holiday

Have had a dvt diagnosed and have had to cancel holiday to Orlando for the end of July. We were going with our friends who have got to go ahead. We are all so sad. Had very traumatic time awaiting results of ct scan to rule out my cancer coming back. It was clear and will have rescan in 3 months.

So dear Dis-ers if you are lucky enough to be going on a flight DO wear those dodgey socks

Oh Jan thats such a shame, I do hope its better soon - is it the type of thing that will recur? and can you do anything to speed up the process? I always wear those horrible socks when I fly just in case and will definately continue to do so. wishing you well

Oh Jan, I am so sorry to hear that you are having to cancel your holiday, I hope you will be able to change it for another time. Great news on the scan though. I always wear those dreadful socks on the flight as my ankles used to swell up something rotten

thanks for all the kind words. Have got to wait 6 months and ask the experts if I can fly. DD's do not want to go elsewhere but also want our friends to be there and this next trip was going to be our last (according to the Dads). I will keep my fingers crossed that there will be another trip and I'll get to do all those things I planned. Meantime I will still be dis-ing
