Okay, I haven't dated in years, so this doesn't come easily to me! Anyway, my first love (think first through seventh grade) and I hooked up again. He's coming over for dinner on Saturday and I thought we could watch a DVD afterwards. The only problem is, I'd pick a "chick flick" instead of a guy movie.

Any suggestions??

TIA

Edie

how bout sex and the city??? hahahahaah  :rotfl: im just kidding. i went to the movies and saw 50 first dates (not sure if it is out yet) and it was pretty good. or maybe a scary movie hmmmmm.. he could protect you!! ;) why dont you go to the movie store and rent one together so you can both agree on one?

That is so sweet Edie! LOL, Nemo! How about a funny movie like "50 first dates?" It's supposed to be really funny, although I haven't seen it myself!

Wow!!! Glad to hear things are going so well. :teeth: 50 first dates was fun, but I don't think it is out yet. Not sure if a chick flick is your best bet. What about getting a comedy? Or get two movies so he can choose between the two?

Sweet Home Alabama is a good choice....a romantic comedy.

Ishtar would be the perfect choice. It is so bad you will end up making out instead.

I just love Meet the Parents, he may have seen it already, though. Had a good make out session during The Marrying Man, I can't even tell you what it was about. I also liked the Wedding Singer- another one my DH could get into. If you want a GUY show my DH loves the Lord of The Rings junk. Poeple flame away, I cannot get into those!

MISS CLEO!!!! I've missed you! What have you been up to?!

DH and I saw Muppets From Space on our first date and got married 5 months later. You can always rent that one! :teeth:

50 first dates was SO great!! I believe it comes out the 15th though.
I agree, go to the movie store together...and a comedy would be a great compromise.
Somethings gotta give was very funny, and sorta romantic, but not TOO mushy.
Do let us know how it goes!

How about When Harry Met Sally.....kinda had the old friends theme getting together.

My husband and I got engaged after watching that movie, we call each other Harry and Sally because our friendship, dating and marriage happend the exact same way. Our wedding song was "It Had To Be You" as well:D

Good luck and have a super date:D
