I recently got a DVD of Blackbeard's Ghost for the kids to watch, I remembered it as a fairly decent family type film and thought they might enjoy it. Oh my lord, the transfer to DVD seemed absolutely awful. on the big screen it actually looked like I was watching it on a movie screen that had tears in the screen.
Has anyone else watched this and noticed the same problems? I remembed renting the VHS years ago and I never noticed it looking so bad... could it be the VHS on an old CRT TV just hid the problems or could it be that Disney just used a very bad print of the film to make the DVD.
