DVCSales Hacked? Update: seems like a glitch


So far I’ve received 4 emails, dealing with Hilton head and BLT. All not addressed to me.
Same. Also got someone’s apparent reply. I’m guessing the system went berserk but as it could very well be a hack I’m not touching anything else.
 
I did also and I replied to one saying that they got the wrong person. I did click on the unsubscribe link so hopefully didn't expose myself to any security breaches. :crazy2:
 
I contacted Mark through the chat and he said there was an error that they were working on fixing. Seems to have stopped.

An important message from Magic Vacation Title, LLC to all of our Disney Customers, update as of Wednesday, December 23, 2020
We became aware on Monday, December 21, 2020 that one of our email accounts was attacked by a virus. This is to notify you, as a recent or historical customer, your email info may have been exposed. You would have noticed if it was by the numerous spam emails that may have started coming your way.
We take this matter and your privacy very seriously and want you to know what steps have been taken so far to further secure your info with continued operations.
Virus is Limited to One Email account - It was confirmed by third party IT Security reps that one email account was infected with a virus which started a series of spam, spoofs and malware emails to everyone that communicated with that account.
Local and Federal Agencies notified within 24 hours of containment
Third party businesses notified - such as Disney, vendors, DVC Resale Market, Google, etc.
Current Customers are in process of being notified by phone and mail. Historical customers will be notified by email. Let the Customer Care rep know if you've received any emails and report the type of info contained.
Database information was NOT accessed in Cyber Attack

 
Lori actually called me to apologize. I had emailed her when the first emails started coming. It was a rough evening for them trying to get it sorted out but it sounded like they had it under control.

At least we all know what one offer on a HHI contract was! Lol.

Nothing quite like an IT meltdown when you are holiday-staffed. I feel bad for them.
