@wdrl and I gather data separately. Sometimes we message each other to try to verify our numbers. Entirely possible one or both of us miss something slightly, but you should find are numbers are extremely close each month.

DVCnews is top notch. I think no site does a better job at covering all the fine print and historical details of DVC ownership, sales, dues, etc. They are on a whole nother level

Very interesting point about the FW! That math does work.

So, knowing very little about FW contracts, is it not possible to get a FW but split it up as long as it still sums to the total needed? I could see that being the case, requiring all points in one standalone contract, but am not familiar with how they work.

Not possible; all must be in the same contract as it is part of the contract.

Because breaking up requires additional closing costs, maybe that is not something they can volunteer to an owner?

And, I think that may have been a fixed week?

I checked my data and the 935 RIV deed is a week 49 GV = 935 points.

They probably didn’t book the first year with it being so close to purchase and availability probably not being there. Most definitely got the points, and the fixed week every year from next year on

@wdrl for roughly 16 years.
Apologies for not knowing the names (or board user names) of the others who contribute over there.

Doing something for a few years is one thing. Their dedication to helping shed light on DVC is truly remarkable.

Started an email newsletter in January 2007. Website launched in September '07. I remember talking to a friend back then and us discussing "what happens if there's nothing to write about for a week or two?" lol.

I may have gone 3-4 days without posting at some point, but I don't think a week has ever gone by without posting at least 2 or 3 (or 8) stories in a week. It isn't always easy. Every trip for the past 15+ years has included some element of research / data gathering. But I'm glad people still find value in it.
