dvcmembers.com WISH LIST: Turn off the music!

I just leave my speakers turned off most of the time, and only turn them on when I want to hear particular website.

Nah, I like the music. In fact, they used to play the different "theme" songs for each resort on the site (and on the main Disney site, as well), but they no longer do, and I miss it. Thus, I have no choice but silence. At least in your case, you can opt not to listen.

I like the music too. Just mute your computer when you go there and I think that should take care of the problem for you-

Just click the mute button on the web page if you don't want to hear it. I like the music, but it IS a little louder than some other things sometimes.

I wish that the dvcmembers.com website did NOT force music upon its visitors. The music should be choice offered to the visitor!

For reference, I'm speaking of the resort ad displayed at the top of the member home page: http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/member/memberHome?id=MemberHomePage

Anyone with me??

I agreee!!!!!!!! Makes it near impossible to "sneak" onto the DVC webpage when you're at work :rolleyes1!! Sometimes, you just forget to turn the sound down prior to going on!!

Just like you can chose to turn it on.. you can chose to turn it off... I don't see the big deal? :confused3

I'm another who keeps the speakers off unless I want to listen to something in particular. It always makes me jump though if I've happened to leave them on and I go to the DVC website. The volume is definitely cranked up!

I use the mute button on my computer when I don't want to hear the music or any other sound. When you are finished, you can cancel the mute. This is true for any website that I visit.

Yes,but everytime I go back to the main page the music is back!Once I turn it off,I wish it would stay off,at least until I log in again:) No big deal, but it is an annoyance:)

I don't mind the music so much since I can control that on my end. That dang promo postcard they had popping up everytime you changed pages was annoying the heck out of me.

Ok, we get it, you are having a promo - just don't force it down my throat each time I want to click on a link. Luckily, it appeared to be gone today when I checked the site this morning.

I wonder if it was the music and the ad for the SSR treehouses that caused me to buy SSR points! I don't really like the music, but I do like the little birds and the deer in the ad for SSR.

Bobbi:goodvibes

How funny. I did some online training this morning, and just got caught checking to see if my waitlist came through.

We enjoy the music. Some times I turn down the volume so I don't wake DW:scared1:

BTW, there is a small white circle with a picture of a speaker in it at the top-right of the THV ad that plays the music. Clicking it will silence the music. However, I haven't found a way to make it remember this setting.

A-freaking-men!!

A few months ago I actually got an online survey about the member site itself and my remarks about the music were fairly scathing. I'm shocked I tell you, shocked!, that my feedback wasn't acted on immediately. ;)

I have had that happen to me. My kids think it's hilarious because it has happened more than once. :)
