dvcmember site: How up to date?

Does anyone know how up to date the DVC members site stays in relation to a users points? I'm waiting for my points to be deposited in my account and wondering how often I should check. Once they are deposited I want to make a reservation right away. (I wasn't sure if the site is only updated like once a day or is it live to the disney's internal databases.)

When I have made reservations, I have gone back immediately onto the site and the points have been adjusted already. In my experience, it has been immediate. Also, when I was waiting for Boardwalk points to come through, they were credited to my online account before my guide even called me to let me know we got our points!

If I remember correctly, you went through resale? Do you have your member number yet? Even if you don't, you can call the member phone number and they should be able to give you your member number (if it's in the system) and check and see if your points have been deposited. HTH!

Here has been my experience:
1) When I purchased, my account was set up before my points were deposited. Took about a day or two if I remember correctly.
2) Reservations and/or changes reflect immediately. In fact, I checked one morning to see if my waitlist had come through. It hadn't, but when I check later that afternoon, it had.
3) One exception...I had a really complicated reservation. Crossed a UY (Aug) with the reservation. For the days in July, I was using borrowed points. For the days in August, I was using banked points and newly deposited points. Called and changed resorts and in the process, it caused us to need more borrowed points and the reservation got totally messed up. For 3 weeks, what displayed was incorrect and was basically showing 120 points less than what I actually had! I kept good notes, watched it, called on occassion and eventually, it did get fixed.

Updates appear as they are made. The problem is that it takes several days for the records to be worked. First the contract is entered then a different person enters the points.
