We are staying in a studio in OKW for the first time in May!! :cool1: Just wondering what everyone brings as far as snack type or food items for the room. Since there is more of a kitchenette area I am looking for ideas....:)

popcorn, slimfast protein bars, cereal, rum & juice
not sure yet but need to start thinking about this too as I'll be leaving 6wks from this coming Fri for the world - thanks for the question

Cereal, granola and/or breakfast bars, cookie and chip individual size snack bags, bottled water, soda, juice boxes/pouches, and sometimes beer. Popcorn is good too, but we usually forget to make it.

Before the DDP, for a studio stay we use to bring instant oatmeal, cheerios, popcorn, bagels, panetone, small jars of peanut butter & jelly, granola bars, dove chocolates, licorice, sweet and low packets, coffee, tea, and frozen butter. Then we would buy milk, soda, water, juice and bread at Goodings. Now with the DDP we try not to bring anything as we are stuffed by the time we get back to the room, and either do our snack or counterservice for breakfast depending on where and when dinner is. Good Luck.

Water, soda, coffee (sweetener, creamer), some easy breakfast items and plenty of snacks. We have found that once we make our way back to our room at night after spending the majority of the day walking the parks - the last thing we want to do it make another trek down to roaring forks.

We drive so we can take a cooler and / or stop at Publix on the way in.

Poptarts, bread (can be toasted), peanut butter, jelly, cheese, deli meat, yogurt. Whatever chips we have at home that are opened as well as whatever crackers are opened. We use our WDW trips to finish up those piece of bags of snacks :) None of them make it back home - we either finish them on the trip or toss them. Microwave popcorn although we generally get a popcorn at the parks so we don't make it. Cookies, milk, juice.

We don't use the coffee maker so I always move it over onto the closet shelf to give me a bit more counter room, and I use our canvas DVC bag that we got when we joined to carry snacks in. And don't forget the ziplocs to bag up whatever you might want to take with you or to seal up whatever is opened that you want to stay fresh (like if someone eats one poptart, we want the other one to stay fresh til later).

And don't be surprised if you use the toaster and the a/c turns on. We had it pulled out and used it and it was right under the thermostat. Oops.

what do you have a home for snacks?

just bring them. what everyone else mentioned plus I love the fruits in Florida - they are bigger and juicer than what I get at home.

make sure you bring some detergent and fabric softenor - the laundry mats are free to us.

going next week!:thumbsup2

We bring our breakfast food: poptarts, cereal, bread for toast; lunch items: peanut butter, jelly or fluff, tuna fish, mac n' cheese; snack items: popcorn, pretzels, crackers, stuff for trail mix (dried fruit, marshmellows, cheerios, m&m's, etc.), applesauce/fruit cups, bananas, apples, grapes, cheese drinks: water, juice boxes, soda, beer, wine, milk. We do usually drive so we bring a lot of stuff from home and usually make a grocery run. This is, of course, when we're not on the DDP. When we use the DDP we just bring some breakfast food. We like to eat that in the room so we can get an early start in the parks!

In addition to the snacky smores listed above, DH and I are throwing in a roll of paper towels, extra paper plates, air freshener for the b'room, plug covers to keep DS 1 yr 4 mos away from the outlets, extra trash bags/grocery store bags, Clorox wipes, and a small bottle of dish soap.

We're shipping a box down ahead of time. :goodvibes

We bring most of the same types of stuff, goldfish, fruit roll ups, cereal, breakfast bars, etc. We also bring some of the throwaway gladware from the dollar store. It's great to eat cereal out of or store leftovers. At the end of the trip we just throw them away to make room for our souvenirs.

In a studio the dish soap should be there. It's usually a small bottle of Dawn. Also, extra trash bags and plenty of paper towels are provided. The trash bags are usually stuffed in the bottom of the cans. One thing I like to pack is a decent sized coffee cup. The ones provided in the villas are about 5 or 6 ounces and your coffee seems to get cold quickly in them. If I forget to pack one, I usually buy a new one and also have a souvenir.

Oh yeah, the morning beverages. We actually bring coffee/filters and tea bags (I know there is usually some coffee but DH likes his hazelnut coffee for vacation) and we love those disposable cups with the lids. Then we can take them on the run and get our last jolt of caffeine at the bus stop!

thanks for all the ideas everyone....since I don't drink coffee and DH loves it, I will be sure and bring a nice blend and mug for him...or maybe buy a new one as someone suggested!!
