World of Color - Virtual Queue and Other Questions?

Been a long time since seeing World of Color. Got a round of World of Color questions.

- Virtual Queue - Do you have to be in DCA (or Disneyland Park) to obtain a virtual queue? We may be at either the Disneyland Hotel or Trader Sam's around 12:00 the day we are planning to see World of Color? So, didn't know if you could pull it from there.

- Dining Package - If we decided to go with a dining package instead, in the reserved viewing area do they force everyone to sit down during the show? I know possible a weird question. However, for Fantasmic they force you to sit down in that reserved viewing area. My wife just prefers to stand up for the nighttime shows.

Thanks in advance for any help!

For the dining package, it is the opposite. You can sit until maybe 10 min before the show and then everyone is asked to stand. Of course you can stand while you are waiting as well.

Does she like to stand for photos or because of physical reasons? If it is for photos, you may want to arrive a little early so find a spot with an unobstructed view. Standing behind other people who are standing sometimes doesn't provide the best view.

You don't have to be in DCA to obtain a virtual queue for World of Color, but you (and your party) do have to have entered either park that day first.

As far as I am aware, with the exceptions of WoC dessert party attendees and wheelchair/ECV areas, World of Color is standing only.

Last year, for Fantasmic, while sitting she got a major breakout from some type of bug that bit her.

As noted, WOC is the opposite of Fantasmic. Everyone stands for the show, unless you book the very expensive dessert package that comes with tables and folding chairs.

In terms of securing the VQ, it's easy. You can be in DL, so long as you have a PH. You can also be outside of the parks as long as you've already scanned in for the day (similar to LLMP).

While the dessert package is pricey, so is the dining package. I mentioned in another thread that, when you factor in tax and tip (included in the dessert package), the two are similar in cost.

From this thread: https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...-help-for-august-please.3969829/post-66236155

We recently did the Storytellers dining package with friends. It was my first time at Storytellers in years. When I calculated the cost, it wasn't all that much cheaper than the dessert party. Wine Country, Magic Key Terrace and Storytellers are all $68 before tax and tip. The $94 dessert party includes tax and tip. It is $74.70 before tax and tip. If I add tax and the same percentage tip onto the dining packages, it comes out to $85.50. So you are comparing $94 for the dessert party to $85.50 for the dining package. One is dinner. The other is dessert. One is a reserved seat. The other is a reserved viewing area.

I'm sorry that happened. I got bit once when sitting on the outdoor patio at Carthay Circle Lounge. First Aid was able to give me something to help. I can't remember if it was an antihistamine creme or hydrocortisone.
